Some things that he says are a bit arrogant and puts Southern Ohio Football down but on the flip side what has Southern Ohio Football done to make anyone think different? It is well known that the best football in Ohio is played from Columbus and the rest of the way north and in the Cincinnatti are and if you don't see it you should probably lay off the Kool-Aid. This is the time of the year those teams start taking over.

Lets compare the "tiggers" to the teams up north. How many teams, in their division, have more state titles and playoff wins than them north of I 70 and west of US 23?

How many teams have more playoff appearances, wins and state titles than Wheelersburg in their own division north of I 70 and west of US 23?

Do the research.....we will wait. I can tell you before you waste your time, there are not many.

This looks like Paladin when they ran him out of Logan :aaaaa27

Don't know these teams histories but I would put them against Ironton any year usually:

Clinton-Massie
North College Hill
Kettering Alter
Kenton
Rhythmic Marshall
Germantown Valley View

If you pay close attention, you will notice all these teams are Div 4 and in the same Region (Region 16) I will let YOU compare the two Regions and see which is tougher!!!

I am noticing a trend here and it all has to deal with history. Who cares??? Talk about the present people. I would take all these teams over the Burg most years as well

Ursuline
Cuyahoga Heights
North Union
West Jefferson
Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy
Anna
Coldwater
Country Day
Versailles
St Henry

So let's get real people. I don't know many teams in Southeast Ohio that would want a part of most of these teams. And I'm not knocking on your teams but it's just a fact, that Football up there is a different beast.

yes it is must be some thing in the water....how is it that they can wear their super hero uniforms under their regular football uniforms. seroiusly what is it is it better coaching, better players, better pop warner programs, better competition each game? we really need to find out so we can bottle it and sell it...

Thats what I thought. I didnt think you would be digging up any information. Scared of what you might find!

Ironton has 27 playoff appearances. 2 championships, 6 runner ups.
North College Hill- 4 playoff appearances. No champ or runner up
Kettering Alter- 15 appearances. 2 championships and 1 runner up
Kenton- 7 playoff appearances. 2 championships one runner up
Germantown- 15 playoff appearances, 3 championships no runner ups

Not even close.

Wheelersburg- 23 playoff appearances 1 championship
Ursuline- 15 appearances, lots of recruiting and 3 championships. I wonder what their payroll is up to now for the football parents?
West Jeff- 15 appearances, 2 state titles
Cin Hills Christian Academy- 5 appearances
Anna- 8 appearances
Coldwater- 15 appearances, 2 championships 2 runner ups
Country Day- 10 appearances
Versailles- 16 appearance, 5 championships 3 runner ups ( I will give you that one).
St Henry- 14 appearances, 5 championships 2 runner ups ( I will give you this one too)

2 Powerhouse schools who have way less appearances would I put in the same bracket as Burg.

Any more power house schools you want me to look up?

Good try.

Case and point.

Its called RECRUITING and MONEY!

And a major reason why OHSAA instituted the TOUGH transfer rules a couple years ago! How about them big city private schools!

Paladin knows all about that, right Paladin!

Lets throw this in there: Logan- 8 appearances, no championships, NO runner ups and do they even have any playoff wins?

Case and point is that you are a choad!

Funny how most of those schools have more championships than Ironton or the Burg. It's all about championships baby and if you ain't first, you're last. All the playoff appearances don't mean a thing unless they are ended with a championship. Thanks for the history lesson though!

Who cares what it is, they are still better than any team in Southeast Ohio! That's what all this is about isn't it?

The arguing is for naught. The river rat teams make it in, in a WEAK region. All other regions have too much competition to get in all the time. When there are LOTS of good teams, no one gets in often. But when you are in a weak region, its possible to get in , even while the rest of the state has better teams that always beat you. Hence , few champs for the river rats. And the programs are nowhere near where they used to be. Has-been programs now and for the forseeable future. Ancient history of last century ! lol

Ok, you are right and I am wrong. Southeast Ohio is dominate over all other regions in Ohio. Minford will probably win against Oak Hill, then Wheelersburg and then give it to Ursuline.

Red,

Let me ask you one question. How do you think Region 15's top 8 would stack up against Region 16?

I am not going to travel down a path of hypothetical situations.

I will tell you that out of the top 8 in Region 15, they are 2-1 in their head to head matchups with Region 16 in the regular season. So I hope that answers your question.

Only loss was Ironton losing to Alder, whom I think is the frontrunner to win Reg 16.
