Oh, I have a few nuggets like that I keep in reserve for moments just like this :122245
Of course, I'm going to get crucified for saying that a parochial school would "limit" enrollment, but please, oh please, help me understand how you can have a Division Five "catholic" school in the city of Youngstown?????? Anyone who wants to argue that Ursuline University doesn't take advantage of the geography, and selectively enroll, is disingenuous, and frankly, full of crap.........
I've gone on record previously about how I feel it should be addressed, so I'm not going to dredge it up and rehash it now. That being said.....
CONGRATULATIONS SHADYSIDE TIGERS, ALL OF SOUTHERN AND SOUTHEAST OHIO ARE PULLING FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Open enrollment in Belmont County helps a lot. Shadyside NOW gets the best athletes from Powhatan, that River should be getting. No wonder River went 0-10.

Powhatan is in Belmont County, so I have no problem with those kids going to Shadyside. Drawing from Sardis, Duffy, Hannibal, Laings, Round Bottom, Clarington, Cameron, and Syke's ridge isn't enough for River to field a team?
Open enrollment, in one form or fashion, has existed for a long time. Seems to me that what, three years ago, River had a 10-0 team and won the PVC? I don't buy it. :122245 :122245 :122245

'Sweet. I'm not surprised that the Tigers will be playing DSJ. They do a great job of selective enrollment.......'
Are you referring to Shadyside having selective enrollment????

I was very clear who I was talking about in the sentence structure of my two sentences. Which school is subject to "open enrollment"? There are rules in place for open enrollment that do not allow subjectivity in the process of who "gets in" if they wish to open enroll. Open enrollment rules do not apply to private schools.
My comment was tongue-in-cheek, obviously, you didn't get it. Don't get your Blue Jay feathers in a bind...... 8)
Riddle me this....A town the size of Delphos with a DV program at Jefferson, who has for the most part mediocrity in their football program, and DSJ seems to stay at a DVI enrollment, and periennially is very successful in football....Hmmmmmm.....just wonderin?!?!? :122246
