the AD is the main reason welsh resigned. she was encouraging players to not play and the superintendent would not do anything about it. welsh had the program going in the right direction, even though not all parents thought so. he would have been as successful as tipton was. too bad he felt had to go. i'll guarantee you the AD is always going to be a reson football fails and coaches leave. ask coach coffey!

Yeah, something along the lines of less football players = more softball bats for the girls to take home, less home games = more dinners out on Friday night, tenure due to a past court case, misappropriated funds and promised audits that never took place, scheduling Alexander again over Buffalo and Canton Central Catholic over Sciotoville East...dueling banjo's in the background, borderline criminal kinda stuff. the AD does totally control the schedule also. won't help to schedule winable games. with wahama and trimble in the league 9 out of ten years eastern has an automatic two losses. now you schedule 2 hard out of conference games and its more than likely no better than a 6-4 season ever! eastern will always have to be 8-2, 9-1 or 10 to make playoffs and 8-2 is questionable. keep the AD and NEVER make playoffs or win a conference title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
