OVC Preview
Re: OVC Preview
And as for the best runningback in the league, I would say Jones is the best imo. Great combination of speed/power/vision.

Re: OVC Preview
I know that we only have a few scrimmages, the previews and a jamboree game to go on but here is my final prediction for the OVC this year. (OVC record)
1. Coal Grove 8-1 (5-0)
2. River Valley 7-3 (4-1)
3. Chesapeake 5-5 (3-2)
4. Fairland 2-8 (2-3)
5. South Point 3-7 (1-4)
6. Rock Hill 1-9 (0-5)
I feel pretty good about the records, the only wild card is if River Valley was all smoke and mirrors at the previews or are they the real deal.

the raiders threw an absolute beat down on a south gallia team with several good athletes scored 24 points in the 2nd qtr allowed sg 2 first downs the whole 1st half.
Re: OVC Preview
River Valley're non-conference schedule isn't as brutal as some of the other OVC schools' but unless I'm completely wrong they could easily start out 1-4. Nelsonville-York is in the playoffs almost every year, Adena hasn't finished worse than 6-4 in years and are coming off their best season in recent memory, Meigs was decent last year and are supposed to be better this year, and then you've got a road game against Alexander. No one on here wants to see River Valley have good year more than I do, but going from 1-9 to above .500 is a little hard for me to believe, given RV's football past. If they finish 5-5 this year I'd call it a resounding success.

FUZZ! the Raiders were 2-8 last year were 1 play from beating Coal Grove played several teams really tough,I agree 5-5 will be a success for now. I think the can easily start 3-1 or as you said 1-4.fuzzhead wrote:River Valley're non-conference schedule isn't as brutal as some of the other OVC schools' but unless I'm completely wrong they could easily start out 1-4. Well the OVC looks to be as bad as ever. Hopefully the Raiders can be consistent and beat the teams they're supposed to beat (Southern, South Point, Rock Hill, etc) and surprise a few more. They haven't had a better opportunity to be competitive than they do this year.
