Last year it seemed even the SOC schools were way down. OVC has multiple reasons for never being solid. D4 and D5 are cyclical anyway depending on how many "athletes" each has. With Lutz gone, maybe some of these schools can build their own programs and even beat Ironton..down the road anyway.

I think CG does better than most OVC schools except for the Peake,because they have a great off season weight lifting program and have won the State in Weight lifting.CG has upped their schedule this year with Valley,Burg and Bishop Ready and that probably hurt them for the playoffs this year,but at least there trying to improve their schedule.

And like I have asked on numerous occasions, "Where does upping your schedule help you? We got 0 points for those loses, are you telling me 0 points is better than getting at least some first level points by playing a bad team. I know what people say, it helps you when you get to the playoffs, and my answer to that would be you have to make the playoffs to know if it helps or not.

Tl895 it can happen very easily with a good coach coming in at one of the OVC schools.Sorru but the Lutz era is over. Athletes arent going to flock to Ironton anymore.
