No official but purposed that Meadowbrook, Cambridge , Marietta, Morgan , Warren would join and form a large div of the PVC. The other schools would form small school. In football you would play 2 crossover games and all the teams in your division. In bball you would play your div 2 times and other schools 1 time. Then would have a night of champions night where teams finishing 1st on each side would play all the way down to 5th place.

Guess it's going to vote and Frontier and Shenandoah could vote it down with Monroe being a huge vote

How many votes are needed for expansion? Will Buckeye Trail get a vote? Voting just for expansion or will the vote also be done to see which teams get invited?EasternDspy wrote:I was told by AD that within a month they will vote.

I will do some asking around on that. I know those schools were pretty much chosen by the league.

This was posted on the MVL Forum by "the researcher"
"I talked with Morgan AD tonight after girls game (1/11/16). Morgan was invited to join the other schools mentioned in the PVC, but they are happy in the MVL and are staying in the MVL."

Morgan will never compete with Tri Valley and will never win the MVL for competitive reasons they would be better off in the PVC.

I don't disagree EasternDspy, but Morgan and Crooksville have "history" in the MVL and it has kept them from leaving even though the rate of success in most sports continues to be pretty low.

Agree with you both on that, but if they're happy, then all we can do is let them be happy in a league they want to be in. I also noticed how close John Glenn (MVL) is to Cambridge and Meadowbrook. I think they could be another school to look at for the PVC big school division, but I'm sure they're also happy in the MVL.

I will believe this when I see it. Meadowbrook and Cambridge will "love" the country drive to Warren and Morgan after all interstate drives for the ECOL. The voting concept does not make sense to me, but I have seen this done by the TVC and other conferences. Schools choosing membership that will not be in a division with them. We will see.

Tough to figure Morgan leaving the MVL. Tight-knit group. Crooksville, JG, New Lex, and Philo all founding members since '37. Maysville, Morgan, Sheridan, TV, and WM all members since their schools began in the 60's.

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf 2016
Seen this posted on the OVAthetics by a poster named eobucks says "The PVC invited Bellaire, St. Johns, Barnesville, Bridgeport, Crooksville, Shadyside, Rosecrans, and Morgan back in the end of November." Not sure if it's true or not. If this is the case, Morgan said no, Rosecrans is heading to the MSL Cardinal, and Crooksville would probably say no. The rest I'm unsure of.
