Alexander can qin this game ; however, I think the first one to 20 wins. Alexander will have to control the time of possession, the same thing N-Y will want to do. Ground and pound with occasional play-action to keep the defense honest

Now days Buchtel is almost in NY city limits
As I remember Nelsonville moved into Buchtel-York! This will be a close one and I am picking the Spartans by 7!

I do believe this will be a close game as well. If someone wins by more than 1touchdown it will because of mistakes late in the game. This should be a very hard hitting game.

We know what NY does and they will stick to that, but Penrod knows how to put a game plan together so it will be interesting to see what he comes up with.
In other words, Davey will do exactly what everyone knows they will do, and Penrod will come up with something geared towards beating the bucks. I hope we can out-talent them.

This winner of this one has a good shot at week 11, so go Bucks!

Nelsonville YORK by two touchdowns. Running game way to much the Spartans. Nelsonville to big and strong.

I think this is going to be a close game. I, of course, will pick the Spartans, but I can see it going either way. The biggest concern I have is history. The Spartans need to look at this game as competition with the person across the line and keep everything else out of their minds. What happened when mom and dad were in school does not matter. Just go play.

I look for the Spartans to win this game 17 - 14 on a Kyle Howard 40 yard FG.

Go Alex.

I agree with athens78. Nelsonville strong and physical with a very good running attack. Nelsonville also has the athletes to match up with the Spartan's spread offense. I'll take Nelsonville 28 - 14.

Buckeyes don't often lose in the trenches, and when the win up front, they are a TOUGH team to beat.

We can talk all day about athletes on both sides - Mount, Edwards, Warren; Barnes, McGrath - but the team who wins their battles in the trenches will win IMO.

N-Y has obviously owned this series. It's up to the Spartans to rise up to the level set by N-Y and change that tradition. Another test of how far the Spartans have come.

NY pulls away in the second half and wins by 2 TDs. I know the sophomore backs get all the credit but NYs Jay Elliott might be the best player on the field Friday night!

All I've talked about for three weeks has been N-Y's offensive and defensive lines. Elliott is the anchor of those outstanding units.

Love him, could play for anyone in this area.

The Spartans have become much more physical then they were in the
Game against the Buckeyes last year. That game was pretty tight for
Most of the game. Buckeyes pulled away in second have to win 28-14.
This game has all the makings of a good one. Both teams bigger , faster
and more mature ... C'mon Friday.
