Welp, I can admit I was severely wrong on this one. Congrats to the Mohawks on the big win!

Awesome win for the program, anyone at the game? Like to know how they looked and some stats. All of the remaining games on their schedule are winnable, with some fine tuning and some confidence. ND, East, Green, Oak Hill, River Valley

Re: WEEK 5: Northwest 24 @ Symmes Valley 21
Defense only gave up 7 points! SV had a kick return for a TD and picked up a NW fumble on the ensuing kick off and ran it in for a TD! 14 points in 9 seconds for the Vikings! Down 21-7 the Mohawks rallied back to tie it at 21 a piece and got a field goal on their OT possession made it 24-21. SV had 4th and a foot and decided to go for it and the Slack (spelling?) kid threw the SV RB for a loss and the boys from McDermott persevered for the win! I will say this! One day when this program wins it's first conference title and makes it's first play-off appearance, you can look back at this victory at Symmes Valley and say: "There's where we turned the corner"! Again, congratulations to the kids the coaching staff and the Northwest community on what may well be the biggest win in the history of this program! Enjoy your weekend, then get ready for Notre Dame!!Jorge Sandusky wrote:Awesome win for the program, anyone at the game? Like to know how they looked and some stats. Congrats to CBF, his staff and to the kids! Enjoy the win until you step on the practice field Monday and then forget about it. You must focus 100% on the next game. Continue to work hard every day!

This was the best move NW could make. Congrats on the big win. If Oak Hill moves up then I think it's all NW. But this program should start thriving in the next few years if the coaches can get them excited about playin ball. I am intrigued to see what happens. I'll be following.
