Thanks ole bud. No disrespect to ya. I truley value your opinion. I was watching pres season replays when I posted that and I seen a bunch of passed interference calls on these db's for running with the receiver and having a hand on him while looking back for the ball. Some of these guys have been taught that since middle school. Imagine having to change that technique as a pro player. And now coaches at all levels have to change how they teach that new fundamental.

Every one should be hitting this week. Hope everyone stays healthy. Look forward to hearing how all the scrimmages go. 18 days till game time.

I think that practices can go on too long and you lose the fundamentals and brain power of your players somewhere along the way. It is better to be more efficient with your time and get more done in less time. I am not a big believer in 2 and 3 a days. Also more prone to injury.

That is very interesting. And I agree with you on some aspects. How would you set your summer practice plan to be more efficient? I think you have to have some degree of fatigue to quote practice like you play. Fourth quarter comes and no one is fresh. You have to prepare the kids to play and execute under these conditions. I think there is a fine line that coaches have to walk to get the most out of the kids. I also think it changes every year with every group of kids.

Conditioning from January through summer should take care of 4th quarter fatique. 2 a days do give players a lot of sync and team spirit. To me less is better. Just be more organized cuts down on a lot of it.
