I hear that due to track/field repairs not being complete that Northwest may be playing their home games at Valley this year?

Hmm, interesting news 4th n Goal. I remember correctly didn't Minford have to do this as well? Or did they fix the field in time?

What exactly are they repairing on the field that makes it's unplayable?

I believe they are putting down a new track, new drainage in the football field, and new sod. Yeah...Minford had a problem with the length of their field a few years ago.

I couldn't remember if that was Minford or not, lol the 80 yard field, too funny.

Seems that Northwest should have thought about this a little sooner? Normal sod will never take the abuse from a football game this close to the season.

The track surface is being replaced around the field.

Deja Vu - Northwest fall of 1984 and 1985 - played their home games at Valley one year, West the other. I believe those years they re-did the playing surface and replaced the stands.

The Minford 2004 squad played all their home games at Northwest. Minford even ironically had a home game vs. Northwest.

It was all due to the contractor that redid the field, didn't feel there was a reason to measure when everyone knows the length of a field. They forgot the endzones.

Yeah, I bet that gets really interesting when it comes to who has to use what locker rooms, whose fans have to sit where. I saw that happen this past season.

Northwest only has seats on one side, so that wasn't an issue...lol
