Week 11: Logan Elm (7-3) at Athens (10-0)
Re: Week 11: Logan Elm (7-3) at Athens (10-0)
Best of luck to fellow TVC member Athens.
Game should be a lot closer than what the Bulldogs are accustomed to but they will extend their season another week.
Good luck and good health to both teams.
LETS GO BULLDOGS!!!

Good luck to the TVC Ohio division champions this week! I'd say Athens wins again. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-20. LE has beaten some pretty good teams but they have also had a few letdowns. One thing is for sure, the Braves must bring their A game if they want a chance to advance.
Re: Week 11: Logan Elm (7-3) at Athens (10-0)
From what I have seen and review of each season, look for a game in the 30 to 50 point range for each team. Each team has at best very average defenses!

I know some of you hate it that Athens is in the TVC ... but from here on out, if Athens was to win - they are representing the league!
so is Trimble.
so is Southern.
so is defending state champion, Wahama.

Re: Week 11: Logan Elm (7-3) at Athens (10-0)
I think this is another upset alert game. Logan Elm has play close games all season even though they lost 3. I'm just worried Athens may not handle a close game as well as they should. Their starters have not played a full game since Fairland. They are very very good, and have done everything that has been asked by them. I just think that if Athens is not up big at half, they may be in a little trouble. I think Athens wins though 42-27

Honestly it was the best move for Athens. Year in and year out the last 30 years have proven that In the major sports Athens really not compete.
They do have talent now. But it will be short term. They will always be competitive in the TVC. Notice Warrens lack of success In the SEOAL. Nothing in fb. Success in bb. In fact they still beat Athens there.

no, hiring Adams and White was. Athens always has talent, just needed a stable coach. University is a good and bad thing. A lot of athletes move awaytoldya wrote:Honestly it was the best move for Athens. Year in and year out the last 30 years have proven that In the major sports Athens really not compete.

I've heard the old coach/AD Les Champlin has a lot to do with the success of the program and still a very big part of it.

When I was at athens I never saw him at practice. Champlin does do the play by play for nelsonville tv cable. Ryan Adams has had famous alumni like Dave Green come and talk with the team. Adams has brought the community closer. Those rich people need to donate some money, I wanna use that weight room lolathens78 wrote:I've heard the old coach/AD Les Champlin has a lot to do with the success of the program and still a very big part of it.

Athens should win comfortably this week. Logan Elm is good, and will probably do some things successfully against the Bulldogs, but won't be able to do enough over four quarters.
It's the playoffs, and Logan Elm is no slouch, but I think Athens wins something in the 40s to high-teens 20s.
I'm debating between going to Dresden for the Tri-Valley/New Philly game or to Maysville to see Maysville Vs Bexley (where LHS grad John Smith coaches).

I say you and 2old get in the car and head to Athens ... I find it interesting he mysteriously disappears when the 'Dogs are doing well - I wanna bust the old mans chops, Locos - you guys definitely need to be at Scott Riggs and Family Stadium on Friday ...LoganLocos wrote:Athens should win comfortably this week. Oh good. 2old is always saying we never beat a good team - a win in week 12 will really give me a leg to stand on ... you tell him to find me, I don't want him exiting the stadium without a few choice words from 93Bulldog.LoganLocos wrote:I know 2old saw the Bulldogs put in on the Gallians. doesn't matter how well Athens does in the playoffs, the haters will make up a reason why they won. I hope they get to week 13 and on, I'm not ready for basketball yet93Bulldog wrote:Oh good. I am back form the injured reserve ward! The bullpuppies should win by 14- 21 points, this game will show the some areas of weakness and items they need to correct in order to advance. What is the bullpippies injury situation?
