if someone could answer this question please do. I just dont know if there is something that I am missing or not. Why in the world do we run our QB over to the sidelines to get a play? Why cant the player being subbed in take the play in? I just think this is a waste of alot of time. I noticed at the Ashland game that we were down and we just kept running over getting plays, and wasting time off the clock. Playing like we had the lead. The QB is putting more yards running to the sideline than he gets in the game. Let the kid do his thing send in the play and stop wasting time. Any momentum he gets is disrupted by having to run to the sideline.

So guys, lets move on. We get your point but running it into the ground ?
That said, I think Ironton wins this one. It is home and unless Trojans come up with a new game plan without their big guy Robinson, they wont be able to make any noise. Luck to both.
I agree that the YOUNG card is now over! Dez Young is back! The young tigers ended with me after the shell shock of week one! On a different note can I play the health card?? Haha.. On a serious note I truthfully think the tigers win and still advance to the playoffs.!! Q is/was/and will be the best back in the area as long as he stays here.?? The most he has carried the ball In Any game this far is 13 times. WOW! He is such a great decoy??

I know that this matters not but the Tigers at 2-2 are sitting in 8th comfortably and in the playoffs as of now. We may bounce in and out with this crazy schedule but 5-5 gets us in! Not many teams in the state can play .500 and get in the playoffs. As we or some of us(haha) know,, once you're in it's just a week at a time and a who knows what happens..!!??

T-I-G-E-R-S. GO TIGERS GO!!

i am certainly not trying to play either card here, young or small. we did drop a division, and only missed d6 by 6 boys. i am sorry if i came across that way. but facts are facts. and nobody in our area has a schedule even remotely close to ironton in difficulty in these parts.i think that is the bigger concern, can we even stay healthy.maybe you didn't get to see these teams like Johnson central, Columbus bishop Watterson , and Columbus bishop Hartley last year. their size and depth was a major factor.-------this year we still have Portsmouth, Johnson central, ky-columbus st. Charles, and Columbus bishop hartley,as well as raceland, ky and oak hill.the bottom line is tiger fans are not used to losing, not used to seeing teams rebuilding, but rather reloading, want to see some more diversity on offense, and blitzing schemes on defense.and that's not counting the good teams we already played this year like, Russell, ky-wheelersburg-ashland, ky-russell , ky-and Amanda clearcreek

we are not used to struggling, and we have such an ornery schedule, hard to even compete with so many injuries, and not being at full strength.it would not be such an issue if we were playing an ovc schedule with size similarities, or even soc.but i'm here to tell you there are some fine ball teams playing in those two leagues this year, and as many as 4/5 could make the playoffs.maybe the days of these huge Columbus school's may be behind us,maybe not. we'll have to see. but you gotta consider the safety of these young'uns, when you play teams like this, remember for the most part our kids play the entire game, as do most around here. but the schedule really makes it that much more difficult to overcome. but that has been since the early 70's , the key to success is playing playoff teams all year long, to prepare for the playoffs.

i tend to agree, when i played the guards rotated bringing in the plays , as soon as the play was over, coach lutz had a guard run into the huddle with the next play.

and i'm not silly enough to believe many out there are smiling watching the fighting tigers struggle, they have dished out many butt whoopins. now they are takin theirs. i'm fine with that, as long as they are learning good sound fundamentals, making the most of our playbook, and the playclock, nobody likes a butt whoopin, but we all had em. it's not how you fall, but that you keep getting back up.

We are at the part of the year that all kinks should be worked out. 4 turnovers is just unexceptible this team is better than that and they show it vs Portsmouth. 35-21 tigers

I don't believe Ironton wins convincingly. If the Trojans play the way they are capable, eliminate turnovers get after it on D, then Portsmouth gets a rare victory in Ironton..

Looking forward to a clean, well officiated game.. Outcome could go either way.

we ain't gotta wait but a few more days. that officiating has been suspect in both cities in this rivalry. I hope it's someone nobody knows.

my guess says only way to get to week 11 is with wins over Portsmouth raceland and oak hill. although region 17 is very weak at the bottom
there is about 10 teams gonna battle for 6-7-8 spot!! GO TIGERS :122245

Just looked at the rankings and at 2-2 they are sitting in 8th. SP is in front and gonna drop beginning this week with a loss to valley. They will lose several more I believe. I think a 5-6 win season gets the tigers in the playoffs with their schedule.

that is very doable, if we take care of business--------i'd love to win at least 1 of the big 3, Johnson central, colmbus bishop Harley, or Columbus saint Charles.--------does anybody have any news on starters that are injured returning.

I look for a Tiger upset of 1 of the 3.. If that were to happen and they can tend to the expected business's who knows where we fall in?? We will face one of our fullbacks/linebackers back this week.
