If the warriors that played the first half against Marietta show up. UGLY Quick. If the second half team shows up. Interesting game. However it could be too big a hole to climb out of. Warren needs those 10 to 11 minute drives to keep the Offensive Dogs on the leash and watching. Hope they can do just that. Gooooooo Blueeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

Would love to see Big Blue pull the upset but I don't think it will happen.

The only thing that can stop the dogs this week are the dogs.
As long as they are not looking ahead to Jackson they will win by a bunch.

Athens 56
Warren 14

I still really suspect the Dogs "D" alittle. Warren may score more that anyone thinks friday night. 40 against the Big Reds, they can put points on the board. Still think they are fighting an up hill battle. This years edition of the Warriors more attitude and will be fighting until the very end. Many Bulldogs will wake up saturday very sore and tired. This group can and will flat hit you. And the "O" line is the biggest Warren has had to offer in years. Hope it is an injury free and exciting game.

Parkersburg is a bad football team, especially for their size. If you want to get into the Parkersburg game for stats to justify a good game there is only one stat you need to look at. PHS QB was 5 of 6 for 193yds. What will that Athens QB do to them?

Probably the best team east of 23/south of Circleville, Athens rolls again.

and Watkins scored 62 the week before and scored 3 against Athens. This will be a 40 to 60 pt blow out

27 Dogs Warren 6 at the half. 60 point blow out???? Warren Has frittered away two good drives. Playing tough right now. I know the second half is coming. But I think you all should show just a wee bit of love for the Warriors. Ok, wait until its over to show the love. Hope the Warriors play the second half just like the first two weeks. Come out and smack-em-in the-kisser. Love Ya Blue.

Do you still suspect the Dogs D And I dont think many Bulldogs will wake up sore saturday or tired sence they took the 4th qt. off. I will say Warren will not have a kickoff returned on them this year the kicker has a leg

Congratulations to the Bulldogs on moving to 3-0. The bad news is Athens was far from perfect tonight, the Bulldogs turned the ball over deep in Warren territory on two early drives and again had double digits in the penalty category. The good news is that the effort was plenty good enough, Athens again had a strong defensive effort holding Warren to just over 200 total yards and are now allowing just 7 points/game on defense and 9 points/game total. The Athens offense was efficient accounting for 35 of the 42 points and special teams chipped in their first TD of the year with a Trae Williams punt return for a TD. Athens will need to clean up the sloppy play if they are going to meet their goals for the season. Good luck to the Warriors the rest of the year!

U have a big line. I thought it was stupid for your QB, running to the sideline after every play to get the play from the coach

Athens gave Warren plenty of chances to stay in this game.
Not sure why but after watching the rplay it is obvious the dogs played very sloppy over all.
A win is a win!
Way to go dogs!!!!
Now its on to the Jackson game.

O&B you are correct, it was their sloppiest effort of the season and a little of that could probably be attributed to looking ahead a bit to Jackson this week but we are making to many mental mistakes with thing like lining up off sides and false starts. Athens committed two turnovers deep in Warren territory one was a miscommunication on a handoff resulting in a fumble and one was a interception that a defender simply made a really nice play on the ball. The good thing if you are a Bulldog fan is that as "poorly" as Athens played, Warren was never really in the game and the Bulldogs won it rather easily. The expectations of this Athens team by some are almost unfair to the kids, people were dissatisfied with a 36 point road win against a decent Warren team and many are talking about the lack of statistical production from certain players. Athens is 3-0 and are winning by an average score of 53-9 yet some in the area still aren't satisfied. While I believe that they are capable of playing much better football than they did last night, I realize that for the most part they are still a young football team (even though it may not seem that way) where only 3 seniors see significant playing time and they are still going to make mistakes. It wasn't that long ago that Athens was the butt of many jokes and laughed at by people from afar as well as local and league competition and I caution Bulldog fans to enjoy these kids and this ride while it lasts, teams of this caliber don't come along often in these parts and we should enjoy every minute of it we can!
