I have watched practice a cpl of times since they put pads on and they are looking pretty good...Young and Long in the backfield is looking good and they look to have a couple of kids with some good hands catching anything thrown there way. I guess time will tell ready to watch some tiger ball

I agree, Young and Long are going to be a couple good ones the next 3 years, Cox has a good arm and some good receivers to throw to this year. Like you said time will tell, I've been pleasantly surprised with what I've seen so far.

I think Wheelersburg finally has something for Ironton this year! Pirates are looking good! They have the kids for every situation..........

That's true! Went to the scrimmage this morning and they looked awesome!!! How about that freshman kicker!!!!!! Wow!!!!

I was told there were only 31 out with 17 of those being freshmen.

Man, I remember growing up when Ironton didn't even allow the freshmen to dress varsity and still filled the sidelines and then some.

I remember when we had 8 grade schools and now we only have 1, I also remember when we used to be AA and D3 now we're D5.

I had 82 boys in my graduating class (1982) and last years graduating class had 52

Either place has been tough to win a ball game for years, I don't see that changing anytime soon....Tho, I will agree that Burg has the team to go into Tank and walk out with the "W". Should be a great one, like always. Great Rivalries Never Get Old!

I think Wheelersburg last won at 'The Tank' in 2007.
