The 6-4 was under Greg Deel and he also had a 5-5 also. I think this past year was the only other season of at least 500.

River Valley could have a nice year this year and have a winning record. The program looks to be headed in the right direction.
Triplett Coached against a lot better teams that Deel did (not even close)
Seoal of the early 2000's vs OVC no comparison Triplett's teams would have had winning records had they played the same schedule as Deel's teams.
Won't argue that.

That 1997 team under Coach Tripplett that was 4-5 was a very good team.

As for 2015.....I believe that talent-wise.....this is the best RV team to date. Now will that resort to wins on the field.....I hope, but only time will tell.

I honestly believe this team can get to 7-3 and have a great shot at first EVER playoff appearance!

Don't think 7-3 will get them in in that regional. Could be wrong, but I don't think it will take 8 wins. What about Shadyside? Does anybody know anything about them?

Shady side is Div 7 who lost to Trimble 21-14 last year in the regionals they were 12-0 and play in the league with Barnsville and that area around

Shadyside will be down by their standards this year but they will beat the Raiders by a large margin.

Wow! Impressive. I don't see RV getting more than 5 wins again. Meigs, Alex, NY, and Athens will beat them in league I'll say, although I could see them stealing one from Meigs perhaps. I'll also go with Shadyside based solely on their impressive season last year. I will give them a slight edge against Gallia Academy if it happens, but you never know with that game. It seems maybe he Raiders are starting to shake the Gallia Academy curse in some sports, so maybe they will hold strong and win that game that they should be favored in. Just my take, but I guess that's why they play the game on the field.

Meatswinger, it appears you have a pathetic existence. Sorry, you suck at life. Moving on. As I said, I wasn't even the best lineman on my team. im seriously ready to be done. I'm a fat out of shape guy. Don't know how many times I can say it. Even if I did live in my aunt's basement (all my aunts live in trailers, lol) at least I'm not a pretender who trolls a sports sight while not actually knowing anything about sports. I better go. The aunts making meatloaf tonight. I'll be back on later. It's crowded with my wife and three kids here. We actually live in a redneck two story, it's just two single wides stacked on top of each other. We are on the bottom. Later guys.

BTW, who's handling the majority of the running game this year for RV?

As far as I know, the majority of the running game was Arrowood and Payne....and they are both back this season.

They will miss Josh Campbell in goal line situation. He probably had 10 goal line TD's last season.

I think that was from the fall of 2013 because Caldwell was 10-0 in 2014

Yes I know that but it was from 2013. Trimble also played Caldwell in 2014 and barely won. That is not Shadyside schedule from last year is all i'am saying.

I will agree on that! you are usually wrong!! FOOL!

I think RV might be a little better than most people think, they have a group of kids in all the grades now who go lift on their own and work at what they do, they have also been very successful in the lower grades and very competitive. They have leadership and goals. I think years ago when RV took their kids to Meigs and got in that Midget league program allowed the kids to play together it was a turning point. Anything is better than the Gallipolis Midget League, loaded rosters and 15 coaches on a team so they can get kids. What a joke! Glad they are playing Blue again it will be fun!

If you look at their schedule, if they pull off 7 wins, I still don't see how it's even close to being strong enough to get them in the playoffs. I can't get past 5-5 for them, but I guess I could see them upsetting Alex or NY, but not both. Athens is still going to be pretty strong I anticipate and I'll give them another league title. Meigs could be a possibility too. I guess we shall see. I also hope they go into week two ready to win the game on he field and not take for granted that they should be favored on paper.

Jason Vorhees wrote:4-6, maybe. If they have the same schedule, they should be Rock Hill, Southeastern, Eastern and Vinton County. Losses should be to N-Y, Meigs, Wellston, Alexander, Athens and Northwest. Northwest will be vastly improved. What has killed RV for years is community dissention, bickering, lack of early strong scheduling and over-inflated sense of what reality is for their programs. Even if they were to have a winning record, something would still be afoul within the community. For some reason, the community as a conglomerate, hates success unless it is individual glory. Some old story for years.

Remember we scored as many touchdowns and you last year. In that mud pit of yours. Don't sleep on VC. You got to come to us. You'll play on a nice grass field with fair and unbiased referees and against a group of kids who are a little more seasoned too. Our QB what a freshman last year. Wouldn't just add us to the "chalk it up to a win list!" We might just whip your butts!!!!!
