He has great interaction with all the kids he coaches and they all seem to love to play for him. With him being so young you would lose the experience factor but the kids would relate to him and play their guts out. He has assisted with several jr high teams the last several years and was a very knowledgeable player even as a young kid. His coaching style is strict and he is a very dedicated, hard working young man with aspiring goals. Something new and fresh. Didn't McKnight have some issues at Fairview ky and fairland in the past ?CGFAN#1 wrote: Sat Jan 05, 2019 10:39 amDRAGON70 what qualifies Fuller to be an awesome football coach? Although he seems like a fine young man from what I have seen but I am only knowledgeable of his time as a Jr. Hugh basketball coach. Just curious.Dragon70 wrote: Fri Jan 04, 2019 12:31 pm Blaine Fuller would be an awesome young coach that could turn Coal Grove football back into a dynasty!!

Lately, the hiring process at CG football defies logic🥶blackraider wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 8:57 pm I think it works this way..........the School Board will be meeting this week and they will review all the applicants and decide which one or how many will be called for an interview and after their decision is made they will notify both the Principal and Athletic Director of their decision who the next coach will be.............just my opinion on how the system will work in selecting a new Coach......
I don't recall specifically what occurred at Fairview but it is the Superintendent of the schools that is responsible for determining whether a student can legally attend their school. It is that way in KY because fundin follows the student. It is up to the Athletic Director to determine the eligibility of the student to play sports. It is a stretch to suggest that any assistant coach is responsible for what occurred at Fairview.Half Slice wrote: Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:02 pm I think McKnight was on the Fairview, KY staff that was forced to forfeit all games after reaching the state finals due to use of ineligible players.
Half Slice didn’t imply it was McKnight responsibility or had anything to do about the ineligible players. He just stated that McKnight may have been on that particular staff. Other posters are correct in saying this is an IMPORTANT hire for CG. A bad hire can really set them back a decade.79Tiger wrote: Tue Jan 08, 2019 3:36 pmI don't recall specifically what occurred at Fairview but it is the Superintendent of the schools that is responsible for determining whether a student can legally attend their school.
