D3 Archbishop Alter only put 28 on them.

Wait, is Waverly without Catholics? Or are those players moving to the other side to play this week?

I believe the score was that way because they are both running/ball control teams so not going to score a ton of point all the time but some games s they will

Waverly seems focused. Has been all year. Look for a tiger victory in this one.

Waverly has good experience defending a ground and pound RB when they played Lattimore and Burg.

This is probably the best defensive team Waverly has faced all season. McNicholas has only given up more than 10 points in a game twice. Then they gave up 21 and 28 points. McNick averages allowing 11.3 points per game. Impressive! There are fast and they are physical.

Might just be the best pound and ground team we've seen all season also. Our defense will have to play hard nose and physical. We can't allow them to drive 80 yards and take 8 minutes off the clock.

Colossal challenge for Waverly.

We've never won two playoff games in a season before. A chance to make History!!! Go Tigers!!

This will be the best defensive team that Waverly has faced this year IMO. I think Archbishop has the speed to at least stay close to the Waverly receivers, I can’t say they are or aren’t as fast or faster than Waverly’s weapons because it’s hard to tell on film. But they will be able to be there and make plays. And they are definitely going to be physical, a team that doesn’t give up many points always is. Waverly will need to match that physicality from the start, they need to be the enforcers especially up front.

I haven’t gotten to look at Archbishop a ton yet. But from what little bit I have seen so far a couple of keys for Waverly will be keeping a clean pocket for Shanks, which the Oline has done a tremendous job all year of doing. That will also allow the receivers time to get separation. And not allowing McNicholas to have long sustained drives where they will wear out the defense and keep the Tigers O off the field.

Clean pocket is a must. They shoot the gaps hard tho and are pretty quick on the edges. This is a team you have to go north and south on. You go east and west and those one yard gains turn to 7 yard losses really quick. Never seen a team gang tackle like this one. I have you guys winning this one 35-14 but your defense will have to get stops. Those long drives suck your souls out after a while.

Hopefully the coaches see what you saw. They had Norwood scouted well and put together a great game plan that was executed to perfection. I know there is night and day difference between McNicholas and Norwood. Their defense is what scares me. I know their offense likes long time consuming drives so we def have to get some quick stops so we get as many possessions as possible....

I’m sure the coaches see it and Will be prepared. They’re a hell of a lot smarter than I am.

Tigers can’t pay attention to some of these predicted scores. McNicholas is the real deal defensively and hasn’t given up more than 28 points in any game this year, including the two loses. Their only two losses to D3 Archbishop Alter 28-7 and to D3 Badin 10-7. Badin is undefeated in D3 with wins over Alter as well as 6-1 D3 Ross.

Waverly has the opportunity to win two playoff games, at home at that, and be considered the best team in Waverly history.
To do that they must be 100% FOCUSED, PREPARED, and EXECUTE the GAMEPLAN to perfection.

740 Zone did a quick story on McNicholas if any Waverly fans want to hear from their coach. New QB for playoffs.

Watched this earlier today and it was stated on unioto mcnichols thread last week that the qb is a wide out originally. I think if Waverly can force him to get into throwing situations they will be setting pretty in this game

I expected their team to look bigger considering how good their D is. They just looked small... Waverly by 20
