Should be a fun one with an insane atmosphere. NY should be better than last year, and this Trimble team is the same version as 2020. I look for Trimble to come out and prove a point. They've been working hard ever since the 35-19 loss to Newark Catholic. I expect Nelsonville has been working hard too ever since the Fairland game. Good luck to your Buckeyes, it's gonna be a good ol hard hitting classic at Glouster Memorial!
Yes the atmosphere should be pretty crazy, which means most importantly a great split the pot haha but good luck to the tomcats as well. Will be here before we know it.
Only 56 days!

I have only got to see this awesome match-up once and it was as good as it gets for seeing a high school football rivalry game.

Come back down! It's always a good game, and Trimble returns 20/22 starting positions! It should be a good one!!

I will be out of state the first two weeks of the season or I would try and take this one in, again.

Dang. You planning on going to any Trimble games this year? I love the stuff you put on about the games!

I am hoping to. I have not been there since the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy back in 2018.
Glad you like my stuff. There are a few from one school who really do not like it at all.

Not even close this year. My boys will beat the brakes off the wee cats. Pay back has been building up.

That’s a HUGE statement

NY35-Trimble 6???

That just seems awfully lopsided to me. Not that you are wrong. I just find it hard to believe that Trimble gets beat like that at home.

Trimble is the same team as last year basically. Cramps let you back into the game when it could've ended up being 70-7. Not saying it could happen but I think the Tomcats are the favorites as they return 20/22 starters and Nelsonville-York graduated 18 seniors last year.

Those seniors were a bunch of dogs. We knew all along that our future was in our youth. You will see what I mean. We have cousins from the three headed monster that should win starting jobs this year.

It'll be closer than that. My prediction, it's going to be the second half of the 2020 game 2.0. The NY kids grew up during those 2 quarters and since "Trimble is the same team as last year basically" the Bucks know they can play with them.

No way the game is that lopsided. NY can’t get down big like they did last year, specially being at Trimble in front of a full crowd. NY will be better offensively for sure, Carter grew up a lot last year and got better each week. Developing a run game as the year went on helped with that. Defensively, they should be better as well. The boys have been working hard for week 1 and feel like they can go there and win. Trimble will be waiting over the hill with a loaded ball club who will be eager to start off 1-0. Trimble has took it to us the past couple years. Bucks will be ready this year. I don’t see either team losing very many games in the regular season. Trimble is going for their longest winning streak in the series I believe. Should be a good one.

We are. We haven't won 4 in a row in the series history. The story of the 2010's was each team wins 3 and the other wins one and starts another streak. I look for both Trimble and Nelsonville-York to come out and play their type of football, in front of a full crowd. As far as the game being lopsided, it won't be. As NY BUCK said above, being at Trimble with full fans, it would be hard for Nelsonville-York to get that type of lead. Crowd could be big in this one, I think this game is a 7-10 point win for either team max. Both return a good bit, both have experience. Should be a good one!

Can't believe there isn't more banter on here about this game. That tells me neither team is over confident this year. That's good and means it will probably be another barn burner. Will it take a trick play or two to win it? If so, which team will be more tricky? Or, will solid defense and a strategic offensive game plan win out? What ya'll think? Let's get the chatter going.

I agree with you on this one. After last years match up, I think both teams are focused and know it’s going to be a dog fight. Fans from over here say it was only close because of second half cramps, but that comes with being prepared so you can’t take that away from the Buckeyes with them being ready to play all four quarters while we were falling out from cramps. With that being said, I’d say the Cats remember that and will be better prepared after that scare last year. The Bucks will be coming with a vengeance after that Fairland game last year and the Cats will be ready! If it comes down to a trick play, I think Phil has it in the bag, we all know he’s know to have a thing or two up his sleeve. If it comes down to defense, I think Rusty has his secondary ready for whatever Phil throws at him and will have his defense on their toes. Going out on a limb and saying the Cats take it in a close one to make it 4 in a row!!
Trimble - 38
NY - 32
