I think they can win a game or 2 if they win out. They will put them playing 14-16 seed. And it will be at Piketon so that helps tooMadeInRossCounty wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:38 amThink they can make some noise? Win a game or two? I know the SVC is down this year but a 10-0, gold ball, SVC champ, bounced first playoff game would not look good.Beergogglebluez wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 9:13 amRegion 19 there are a lot of good teams, Ridgewood, ironton, wheelersburg, harvest prep, Portsmouth. It’s a pretty good region.MadeInRossCounty wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 8:55 am Looking ahead just a little bit. Any chance Piketon makes some noise in the playoffs? Not sure who is in their region.
Think they could play with Burg or Ironton?

Why isn’t Estep at QB?bucknuts09 wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:58 pm This will be the biggest game Gullion has had at Piketon IMO!
If Piketon can limit the turnovers they should win, but if they loose the turnover battle Paint Valley will get this one.Paint Valley has some bruisers up front and at running back, but with Estep not at Qb the passing game will be very minimal.

Re: Week 6 Paint Valley (3-2) (2-0) @ Piketon 5-0) (2-0)
Its complicated, and I will just leave it at that. Estep does QB in certain situations and packages but Cooper is at the helm 85% of the time. I do believe in order for PV to have a chance this Friday that Estep will have to get more snaps than he has the last two weeks.MasterOfNone wrote: Mon Sep 20, 2021 12:16 pmWhy isn’t Estep at QB?bucknuts09 wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:58 pm This will be the biggest game Gullion has had at Piketon IMO!

Paint Valley was very lethargic and flat vs Adena this past Friday. I'm sure they will be up for this game. It will be a high scoring affair for sure. 48-33 Piketon

Last year Cooper and the offense were more than ready for this match-up.

Yeah and it's not even close 4 teams left and a combined 3 wins as of this week.

Piketon should play this week with a chip on their shoulder after what PV did to them last year. Will their defense manage a few stops? Will their offense avoid turnovers?LICKING COUNTY FAN wrote: Tue Sep 21, 2021 4:20 pm Last year Cooper and the offense were more than ready for this match-up.

From a dumb fan thought process on this one.
The winner of this one will have made changes, especially on defense.
I also believe the winner will add a new twist to a trick play or two.

Weather again should be perfect for football, high of 70. Rain will have moved out, looking forward to a great atmosphere! Hoping to see the glowing village stadium packed Friday! Lets Go Streaks!

Even though Estep is much more of a traditional, drop back and sling it QB, Coop is also a dangerous thrower. I wouldn't overlook these PV receivers either. Piketon's weapons get a lot of love, which they absolutely deserve because they are legit, but Mettler, Miller, McDonald, Blankenship Hall, and company are just as dangerous, just don't get the love.bucknuts09 wrote: Sun Sep 19, 2021 12:58 pm This will be the biggest game Gullion has had at Piketon IMO!

Nobody on the football team or staff, or in the glowing village are overlooking anything Bearcats! Everyone understands the significance of this game, Lets Go Streaks!
Re: Week 6 Paint Valley (3-2) (2-0) @ Piketon 5-0) (2-0)
Seems like an odd thing to say, why in the world would anyone be overlooking PV?? They've put up 56 on the streaks the last 2 seasons and been a few years now since Piketon has gotten a win against them. This is THE game for the Streaks this year during regular season play.

I think this game is a toss-up, maybe even favoring PV. They’ve played a more difficult schedule than Piketon, they’ve got more big game experience. Plus, they’ve had Piketon’s number the past few years. Piketon has a chance to prove that they are for real, but will have to play smart football. No stupid penalties, no turnovers, focus on football and not anything else. Go Streaks!

This is absolutely the truth! As good as he throws the rock, he is equally as good of a runner. He is leading the league in both. His stats will blow up after this week considering they literally have no competition from here on out.mlittle wrote: Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:18 am I don’t even think this game is close
