on paper the Ironmen should dominate. But still have to play the game. Take care of business, defend Alumni Stadium, and come out of this thing injury free.

Have a great week of practice !!!!!

Jackson should win but they need to get there offensive line cleaned up and put Vermillion’Bice,Mendoza in who can block and move people off the ball instead of just bumping them and letting go. Also winters will be one of the key players this week with him running or throwing wolford will do good and so will brag and prater

I don’t think personnel changes on the line are necessary. We saw their potential in the second half against ironton when the line started pushing ironton’s defense off the ball every player. We just need to get back to that. All those names you mentioned are fine ball players, but maybe a little bit inexperienced

It’s hard to believe that after 6 games and 2 scrimmages that there is 3 linemen better than the starters not playing 🤔

Agreed. Not only 6 games and 2 scrimmages but 6 weeks of practices plus about 4 more weeks of practice counting summer workouts and two-a-days. Jobs are won 99% of the time in practice. I think coach hall has seen enough out of his players to know who’s gonna give him the best shot to win games.

Yeah….no way coaching staff has 3 guys that should be starting Oline on the bench

Wasn’t long ago the 4th string QB was dominating some of the bigger JV games…..

Jackson will run away with this one. Probably another 42-0 game like last week.

yes but in practice vermillion and bice and mendoza are much better and have more potiental then what the starting guys do. they have played way better than the starting line and coach hall is just playing the starting kids becuase of their last name and you can say im wrong all you want but it is the truth bc the onlt good offensive linemen we have is trent evans hes the only one who moves people off the ball and mantians blcoks the other ones just bump around and thne let go and in the second half of the ironton game the d line was tired the4y are big 270 pound guys playing in a dog fight

Jackson should win , their ground game should have a big game.

Mcclain this is another chance for their program to see where they are at or get a big win. They have improved a lot

Offensively - Mcclains QB and FB are good. QB does a good job of managing the game he has a good arm and throws accurate passes. He can make plays running the ball. Surprised he doesn't do it more. When the pocket breaks down he does a great job of looking downfield still and making plays.

FB runs hard and is bruiser has great hands like a receiver. He has decent speed.
They have a wr if they can get him the ball he is an athlete could pose match up problem for jackson he has great speed and hands. When the pocket breaks down on the qb he moves around to get open .

defense of Mcclain is aggressive but struggles stopping the run or passes thrown deep.

Good luck both teams

If Mcclain plays close this would be win for them and get those kids to buy in even more.

….good report, QB is a nice athlete. Over the years his type has given Jackson trouble….keeping the athletic WR from helping out on broken plays will need to be done.

Hope you are correct . Win a league title and finish 8-2 with a couple hard fought losses. Should be in good shape to possibly make some noise in the post season.

I personally think they cruise rest of season, even if they don't play their best ball. But come playoff time, they will play the best football of the year. They are the rare football program that playoffs are expected and I'm guessing they ,coaches and players will be hungry to prove themselves against better competition.
Good luck the rest of the season, it's moving fast.

Just win baby!!! The zebra’s are the only thing stopping this machine from exploding. Very impressive grit on D all year. I see the play calling progressing. 15 is surely missed and was my favorite player to watch. 7 has a cannon and the ball is coming in hot. Boys need to adjust and catch the ball, because almost every dropped ball last week had 2 hands on the pigskin. GO BIG RED!!

Haven’t heard much this week. I think that’s a good thing. I’m interested in the focus level. I’m not sure the Jackson kids believe McClain is good.

I still want to see my challenge of 21 points, no penalties and no fumbles in the 1st qtr
