Rock Hill Future
Re: Rock Hill Future
Maybe they will go after one of the young guys on Irontons current staff. Carpenter or Murphy maybe. Could they possibly convince Pendelton to come out on the hill? I think not. But money talks and they got plenty of it.

That's not very good at all under the current regimeJason Vorhees wrote: Mon Oct 25, 2021 8:09 am Winning Seasons at Rock Hill since 2000:

The current staff at Rock Hill seems to be doing a good job. They’re competitive in the majority of their games since 2017.
2017: 4-6 (4 losses were decided by a touchdown or less)
2018: 3-7 (3 losses were decided by a touchdown or less)
2019: 3-7
2020: 3-5
2021: 3-5 (2 losses were decided by a touchdown or less)

He should be real happy to still have the Rock Hill job.Paulcrew wrote: Mon Oct 25, 2021 2:49 pmI’m not speaking for Ironton fans but Coach Mark Lutz never applied for the Ironton job when the job became available. At that time he had already left his Ironton teaching job and went to Rock Hill. At that time he seemed very happy with his job there. I listened to his radio interview before this years Ironton job and he still seemed very happy with his job in the Rock Hill School districtfrankie wrote: Sun Oct 24, 2021 4:37 pm Rock Hill hasn't had a winning season since '07 or so. Their record the under current coach Lutz is 14-25 overall and 10-17 in league. Many Ironton fans were unhappy Ironton didn't hire him as head coach after Vass. I don't see a bright future at Rock Hill until they find a young, enthused coach, like Coach Pendleton, to give their kids a chance at winning again.

Looks like Ironton's feeder system is thriving and will be sending some nice athletes south on 93 and 141 in the near future!REDMAN wrote: Sun Oct 24, 2021 12:06 pm E5B03681-65DA-48C6-A409-81E057B2B354.jpeg
A, B, and C champs. Talent is coming. Don’t F it up
Re: Rock Hill Future
Unless something has changed which seems it hasn't according to the union contract employees get 1st option to coach so that explains why assistant coaching issues ,the 2002 to 2007 teams were probably some of your most overall talented teams and they weren't coached to their potential, the 2005 team was loaded and lost 1st round playoff to Ironton an Ironton team with 3 starters that had transfers from the Hill , so my opinion unless the school can hire a coach with a free hand at developing his staff and team they will always fall short and with the success of Ironton again its going to be rough to keep those with standout talent from transferring, as for the current coach his teams have played their hearts out but the sideline numbers just aren't there and that defines the amount of talent available to put on the field
