Not surprised by the loss, but thought Minford would put up more of a fight in this one. They may still be a year away from competing for SOC II title.*

Yeah….NOvladimir wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 6:25 pmThis year, Minford is a very physical team as they have some downright nasty O-lineman. I think Minford can run the ball at will on this team and will grind out a win. If Minford can methodically run the ball, churn out first downs, and come away with points, the Falcon offense may just be their best defense.First and Goal wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 1:19 pm I think it will be close early on and physical but, Minford has several players going both ways and WCH does not. Oh yeah, Minford is young there wasn’t anyone thinking they were competing for the title this year.art_vandelay wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 10:11 pm Not surprised by the loss, but thought Minford would put up more of a fight in this one. They may still be a year away from competing for SOC II title.*

How was this the “Game of the week”? A lot of people drinking the Kool-Aid on this Minford team. Minford is a 4th placed SOC team at best

Happy for the Big Blue but Minford will be tough in the future! I was impressed with the Young QB and the both RB's what grade are both running backs in
Re: Minford 0 - 42 Washington 2022
Thìs is so typical. The fan base gets all excited when they blowout cupcakes and then reality smacks them in the face. Typically, it is the burg giving the wakeup call. Then the excuse for the remainder of the season is the huge letdown over burg.
Reality, the hyperbole coming from the falcon fanbase NEVER translates to season success. If you have been on this site for 10+ years you know what im talking about.

I believe both were 4 year starters.wch125 wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 6:01 am Happy for the Big Blue but Minford will be tough in the future! I was impressed with the Young QB and the both RB's what grade are both running backs in
Re: Minford 0 - 42 Washington 2022
Yeah not sure why anyone would think this was the game of the week, WCH is a seasoned team who has turned the corner this year. Minford is and was placing for 3rd place in SOC play, with their youth Minford played a weaker non-conference schedule and people were simply wrapped up in the wins they had. Minford will be a solid team but they'll but not for another year or 2.

Re: Minford 0 - 42 Washington 2022
The play calling has to get better at Minford. Bottom line, been an issue from the start with this regime. For example, box loaded on that early 3rd down before the botched FG attempt, not one wide out worked toward the middle of the wide open field, pretty basic.

Running backs will be back next season. Pica #4 ran hard and got good yardage on courthouse but drives stalled out near the red zone a few times. Cannot question the strength and hustle that kid has.
Kingery #20 is a sophomore and a spark plug runner. Not as big but a shift quick back who will improve with experience.

Re: Minford 0 - 42 Washington 2022
It was 42-0 I'm sorry but at some point play calling isn't the issue it's simply the fact that you're facing a better team. Nothing wrong with that but there's no since in hopping on here and complaining about play calling getting better in a game you lost 42-0, Minford's time will come just not this year.FalconFever02 wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:48 am The play calling has to get better at Minford. Well, they didn't execute that game plan, that's for sure. In reality, WCH is a very good football team. They have both size and speed, and I wouldn't be surprised if they beat Jackson. Minford is playing many underclassmen, so they can chalk this one up to experience. The staff can also now see where some glaring weaknesses in positions are located and make the necessary adjustments going into league play.Tigernation2021 wrote: Fri Sep 09, 2022 10:53 pmYeah….NOvladimir wrote: Thu Sep 08, 2022 6:25 pmThis year, Minford is a very physical team as they have some downright nasty O-lineman. Yeah that's why I didn't think this would be close, WCH looks really good so far this year and they're going to make some noise in FAC play. Outside of the Western Brown game, we all know what they have, WCH defense has only given up 6 points in the other 3 games combined. Minford will be good moving forward but they're a lot like Waverly in that they're going to take their bumps and bruises for this season especially.vladimir wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 11:10 amWell, they didn't execute that game plan, that's for sure.
