I believe Portsmouth enjoys the tradition and the revenue every two years, so I’d believe they will stay on the Ironton schedule

Of course we all are basking in the awesomeness that is Fighting Tiger football for 2024. Yet Pendleton and success are not eternal. Thus I ask is Ironton's success causing one side or the other to burn bridges? Bridges that may be needed by Ironton at some future point in time?
And what has Ironton done to burn these bridges? No kids on Ironton’s team are from Wheelersburg. Ironton has 3 or 4 kids playing for them who went to another HS at one point. One of those comes from a long time Ironton family. Another has younger siblings in the district.

The other 20-25 kids who play major roles for Ironton have been going to Ironton for their whole lives. 12, 8, 24, 77, 26, 7, 3, etc etc are all Ironton kids. Should Ironton have turned away Shaun Terry back when he was a freshmen so as to not upset Wheelersburg?
Correct.

Softburg wants to run let em. Cowards die a thousand deaths.

As far as week 1 week 6 ?

Don't matter. Running clock either or on softburg.

Ironton Transfers on Roster.

Jesse Copas - Moved after Freshman year from Northwest. No Clue why. Was undersized coming in but heard he was a good young player. Has worked himself into a stud at Ironton. Pretty sure Wheelersburg just got a “Transfer” from NW as well which was one of their better players.

Shaun Terry- Moved in from Huntington as a freshman. Saw posts where he weighed 125lbs as a freshman. He’s originally a SP kid who is related to Mayo Family. I don’t think anyone predicted him to be the player he is now.

Braylon Sturgill- Transferred to Ironton I believe in JH or freshman year. Family has multiple family members in the city from what was told. Parents were looking to move closer to family so they transferred him.

Mason Wheeler- Originally from CG. I think he had an older brother that had a falling out with staff at CG and parents moved them. Older brother went to Boyd. Co with old CG coach. Younger brother went to Ironton. He sat out last 5 games and playoffs of last season.

Everyone else contributing is IRONTON kids who has been here for quite awhile or have have heavy family ties to the city or school.

As of now, Portsmouth is playing Unioto and Valley is playing Paint Valley week 1 of next year
Oh yeah. That’s an interesting game for Portsmouth. Ibuprofen is usually pretty tough.

So the Ironton/burg regular season rivalry ends with Ironton comfortably on top all time and clearly seperating themselves from burg presently by mercy rule on their own field in 2024.

The so called program of superior coaching & culture is now a program that runs when things get hard.

Ironton BROKE SOFTburg. Lol
