Ironton has 3 or 4 kids playing for them who went to another HS at one point. One of those comes from a long time Ironton family. Another has younger siblings in the district.Zahns Corner wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 11:16 amPaulcrew wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 10:11 am Ironton needs to move on. it’s clear that Burg wants to go another direction. I would look for other local teams to drop the Fighting Tigers as well. I believe Portsmouth enjoys the tradition and the revenue every two years, so I’d believe they will stay on the Ironton schedule
Of course we all are basking in the awesomeness that is Fighting Tiger football for 2024. Yet Pendleton and success are not eternal. Thus I ask is Ironton's success causing one side or the other to burn bridges? Bridges that may be needed by Ironton at some future point in time?
The other 20-25 kids who play major roles for Ironton have been going to Ironton for their whole lives. 12, 8, 24, 77, 26, 7, 3, etc etc are all Ironton kids. Should Ironton have turned away Shaun Terry back when he was a freshmen so as to not upset Wheelersburg?
Softburg wants to run let em. Cowards die a thousand deaths.
As far as week 1 week 6 ?
Don't matter. Running clock either or on softburg.
