WK 8 (7-0) West @ (6-1) Minford (Co-Game of Week)

West posters, Coaches see the same tape we can see online. Nothing says the tape is slower than being at the game. Tape is tape, DUH! How can siders say the tape is slower than in person is beyond me. You base EVERYTHING off of GOOD tapes of teams to prepare. You can send 10 guys into the stands to draw up offensive or defensive sets and you dont get ANY advantage over watching the teams on TAPE! Tape is tape!!Your friggin team has beaten everyone so far because they analyze TAPE all week!!!!!!!!! I think the siders fans are kinda worried about their speed because they havent seen the TAPE of Minford/Burg!!

Dont worry, I like the sider hard nosed running but havent seen that SPEED. Minford has hard nosed runners but got beat by SPEED last week. B Shank (QB) turned outside on one play and got horse collard by #23 for Minford. He was well on his way and #23 had an angle. he was lucky to get a hand on him. Burgs Qb is very fast. #3 for Burg got thru the line and ran right thru #23 and #23 couldnt catch up, but didnt lose ground. #7 is faster than #3. #22 is faster than both!! We didnt use him though. Oh, he did go out for a pass, he was 5 yards beyond the safety (#15 or 23, cant remember) and underthrown.

2 hard nosed running teams will square off this DAY and the winner will be the defense that controls the LOS!

Oh, speed is involved??? Minford has some, West is what we will wait and see. I know west defense is very good. Someone said their LBs are sophs? If they are, misdirection is recommended. My gosh, sophs as LBs! Awesome!! West is playin good defense. Thier Dline is blowing right by Olineman. With Swords sitting safety, hard to pass on them. Pery is doing real good at corner. Smaller, but just good. I would test him though. Hasnt really been tested so far and Oesch can throw the ball.

Blah, Blah, Blah, this will be a GREAT GAME!!! I will be there to see it. GO WEST AND MINFORD! Show all the fricken pollsters that they are wrong to not include your teams right beside Burg in the AP poll and Puddles top ten!!

Huh! The game I saw was Burg getting dusted by speed on the pass and Minford running it up the middle and not getting stopped until 5, 10 yard gains. Minford outgained the Burg in Offense both rushing and passing but also lead in turnovers. That is what decided that game. I wasn't seeing any speed that Minford didn't match.

I look for #2 and #87 to have a big game for Minford. Best two receivers in the area. The small West corners cannot match their speed. #2 is a burner (ask Burg) a 4.47 forty. Former Junior High 100 meter champion at state. #87 runs a 4.6, has heigth and runs great routes.

Yea Right. W'Burg did not get dusted by Falcon speed. Minford has pretty much the same speed as Burg. TD Pass was blown coverage by W'Burg and #3 Schankwieler got a couple steps and was equal to #2 of the falcons on the long TD run. I guess we don't count the 3 times W'Burg was in the red zone, driving the football only to stall 2 on stupid penalties and the other to take a knee at the end of the game. Minford is a good football team and yes turnovers hurt them last week the same as penalties hurt W'Burg. I guess since the Falcons did not win the game the fans still have to convince themselves they are a better team.

Oh and weren't you the one that commented that W'Burg had problems this season.

Sorry... got off topic here back to the West/Minford discussion.

West by 14 if they play with no mistakes. IMHO, I think that our backs are to strong for the falcon D I could be wrong but from what I saw at the Burg/minford game I don't think I am.

We had a pass interference call, But Burg didn't throw a pass. The Burg had several passing downs, and chose to run, resulting in having to punt. Burg did not have the lead until late in the third quarter. What does that tell you about the Burg's passing game?

This is not about making everybody happy, it's about winning ball games. Don't know who your referring to, but if they can help us win, they will be on the field. Kids get the oppertunity to win a starting position everyday in practice. We really don't need a what about mine attitude in Minford. It's a losing attitude.

Glad to see you acknowledge West has some star players. The difference is West doesn't have to recruit, their program does that for them! For heavens sake Minford can't even get the length of their field right, that tells you how much of a priority football is there.

P.S.......west is not as fast as minford and is not as physical as what people think......sure they have good runningbacks but that o-line is just mediocre at best and that will show up tonight
