What a shame Oaks were the better team and it showed. Poor special teams coaching and a few bad calls from the refs. We are proud of you Oaks

Congratulations to the Oaks and their fans on a fine season. You fought to the very end, there is nothing to be ashamed of with the effort that you put forth tonight.
Freddies are the class of Region 19, and they proved it tonight. An anomaly, that has depth, in the small school division. They remind me of the small schools from Western/Northwest Ohio, lots of cornfed "biguns", that have alot of size.
Good luck to the Freddies as they move on and have to play Ursuline U. Like lots of folks in SE Ohio, I'd love to see someone from the norm beat their recruitin' arses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a game. Didn't like the ending but Oak Hill represented southeast Ohio well. I believe they scored more on the Freddies than any other team.

Great season and an awesome job in the game tonight against the Freddies. Take away the INT's and Oak Hill just might have won this game. I saw a comment on an earlier post that said every time the Oaks made a big play it was called back for a penalty. Same thing happened to the Burg and it killed a few drives.
Way to represent southern Ohio!!

Yes, I think there is no Doubt that we were tougher and more well rounded team. Yes the Int's never help matters. Whomever is the Special teams coach is , I would really like to know your reasoning for the short kick to the 40 yard line every dam time?Burg_Grad_77 wrote:Great season and an awesome job in the game tonight against the Freddies. you obviously didn't watch all of our games this year and our kick coverage. kicking to the 40 was the best thing for us to do or they would have started on our 40 or worse every time.
I think Jesse had 4 interceptions, but I only think 2 of them were costly. The one in the first half win we were close to scoring was big and the one at the end of the game cause it ended it. The other two were at times that were on 3rd or 4th down situations with big yardage. They ended up being as good as a punt with no return.
What hurt was yes the penalties, but more than that was the poor tackling. How many times on their big plays did we have them tackled for a loss just to have them break out of the arm tackles and scamper 40+ yards.
Also, I don't know if that is how Fredericktown usually plays, but some of the stuff they did tonight was despicable. They were bigger, stronger, faster and probably a better team overal, but lack majorly in the sportsmanship and moral department.
Great Season Oaks, there will never be another team like you!

Congrats to the Oaks I hope both teams came away injury free! Anytime you have players of the caliber you guys have, you will be in any game! I root for Fredericktown because they are in the league I coach in, but I always will root for SE Ohio! Good luck and hope to see you next year!

Terrific game and season for the Oaks. You hung right in there and gave it your all.
Congratulations to Fredericktown on the win and here's hoping you keep it going.

With the way things went down I don't believe that we could be injury free.55Buckeyes98 wrote:Congrats to the Oaks I hope both teams came away injury free! Is #71 of the Freddies a boxer? He throws a pretty mean punch while in the pile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have watched every single game this year. And yes you are right to a point. A person would think by this time in the season that would have been fixed. I still think that are chances would have been much better kicking the ball deep. You can not allow a team of the caliber to play on a 50 yard field all night. The Oaks are a Great team and will be talked about for many years to come. Great job guys!!MightyOaksFan wrote:Browns78 wrote:Yes, I think there is no Doubt that we were tougher and more well rounded team. Yes the Int's never help matters.
