Re: 2014-REGION 17
i did a head to head comparison on eastmoor and ports west!!
if eastmoor loses this week to marion franklin(and they should) and west wins last 3 games west would be in for sure 100%(as long as L2 go the way they should go)

Re: 2014-REGION 17
Even with 7 wins West has a good shot of making the playoffs. A couple losses by some top eight teams will push them over for sure.cg-ironton fan wrote:i did a head to head comparison on eastmoor and ports west!!

Portsmouth west needs a lot of help to get in. but there will be upsets so they need to win out and see what happens.

Re: 2014-REGION 17
Hartley, Ironton, Wheelersburg, Martina Ferry and St. Clairsville win, while Eastmoor and Coshocton lose.
Coshocton was exposed by Dover, which is really no surprise. Martins Ferry and St. Clairsville are probably not as good as their record suggests.
Hartley will probably have the largest jump this week, beating previously undefeated Beechcroft, in a game that was never as close as the final score may suggest.

Re: 2014-REGION 17
Beechcroft only beat 2 teams that have a winning record to date.
Those teams beat some bigger teams true but inferior teams none the less.
Hartley still remains the team to beat IMO but I believe the race here is still open to who may be the team to beat at the moment

They beat Central Crossing, who will be in the playoffs in D1 region 2 handily. Beechcroft is very good.maniac66 wrote:Beechcroft only beat 2 teams that have a winning record to date.

Re: 2014-REGION 17
Ya know, I picked up on the records of Beechcrofts opponents just around 6pm yesterday, perusing Joe Eitel, run n shoot 08 wrote:They beat Central Crossing, who will be in the playoffs in D1 region 2 handily. & thought Hartley might flex some muscles ( or wings) on the beechcroft cougars, And they did(see Newark catholic Fan game review he posted) & was very well done. NCF must have been @ game as the report was in detail & never as close as the final score portrays.
Gotta love it when you discover a Hartley running back shares your, not so common, last name:" Hickman"
Would not be cool for Ironton to play Hartley, & hear your own name called for too many plays.
I have 6-distant paternal cousin's in the Columbus area that might share my family tree. Time for ancestry.com, I guess.
Anyway, Hartley not playing in the final 4, would shock me @ this point.

I know it is very dangerous to compare scores but I do find this interesting. Hartley 24 St Charles 21 Ironton 25 St Charles 24

With that logic, Ironton is going to lose by 40 + to Jackson, since Wheelersburg beat Ironton, and Jackson beat Wheelersburg.RiverRatRay wrote:I know it is very dangerous to compare scores but I do find this interesting. Hartley 24 St Charles 21 Ironton 25 St Charles 24
Good thing football doesn't work that way.
Re: 2014-REGION 17
You cannot compare scores. Joe Eitel is usually updated by now. With the losses last night we may see a bit of a shakeup.

Yea, Ironton will probably dominate Hartley in the playoffs.

Re: 2014-REGION 17
i have final minimum numbers of this through Friday night.
saint clairsville 18.3
bishop hartley 17.74
ironton 15.49
coshocton15.1
wheelersburg 14.66
martins ferry 13.76
portsmouth west 12.0
liberty union 11.65
eastmoor academy 11.07
final spot between portsmouth west, liberty union and east moor academy. eastmoor should be in unless portsmouth west and liberty union both win ot then the secondary points would be really close between portsmouth west and eastmoor academy. more likely scenario. is liberty union loses to circleville and portsmouth west loses to wheelresburg then portsmouth west needs some help from secondary pint games going there way.

West will gain L2 points in Week 10 from Minford or Valley, its just a matter of how much.
