im not a year older just yet , I still need few more weeks to pass LOL!!! but the word is burg will lose to ironton , valley , and Jackson with p west game being a toss up !!!

You have bumped your head. No way burg loses 4 games. Our Defense will be better than last year. The only question mark on this team is the o-line. We have some good size kids to step up but they have little playing time. If the line lives up to to their ability this years team will be better than last years team. By the way this years 17 seniors have never lost to west, Valley, or Ironton from 8th grade up not sure why it would start this year!

There you go you aren't changing the offense any you tweak it yet you can still run the ball. You don't have to total change like you said in your first post all you got to do is tweak the offense yet you can still run the same type of offense.

lets just hope that we see a good mix of 20-35 running plays and 10-15 passing plays ( that are not predictable) if that threat of a non predictable pass play is there ironton should run the table and go 10-0

think of what those RB'S could put up if other teams thought hey these guys WILL throw (out of any formation) on 1st and 10

Ironton has weapons this year at reciever. They also have they same line as last year minus Sherman. This year's line has been working extremely hard. Irontons defense should be flat out mean this year. Teams will literally be terrified of them after a few snaps. I believe quarterbacks will be running for their lives and there will be many interceptions. As for the run, irontons line is the strongest in many years. If the ball gets to the linebackers it will be lights out. Those boys are mean. The defensive backs are very skilled and shouldn't have any trouble with most receivers, especially from this area.

Opponents of ironton, you have been warned! They are mean and if you challenge them it will be lights out! Maybe that's just for the Beechwood game? Anyway be very careful and approach with caution!!

Haha. hopefully they play as good as they look. With any team at the high school level there are many factors that play a big role. Discipline being first. As long as this group of kids stay focused and disciplined and continue to build confidence, they will be a very tough team to beat this season. I haven't seen Burg yet, so I can't say they don't have just as fine of a team. Usually when it comes to these two teams both are very well coached and rarely does discipline factor in. Burg usually has a number of good athletes and can compete with most teams in the state as does Ironton. These two teams both enter the season with a final goal of winning the state championship and anything shy of that is a less than desired season. Should be a good game as always.
