Tigers simply struggle offensively when they can’t bully you. Tie them up front and they can’t sustain drives, mostly through penalties. 14 points can be enough to beat them.

Next week was always going to be a major challenge. At this point, staying within 3 scores probably a moral victory. Come out of there healthy and look to go 9-1 for the 1 seed, hopefully avoid Harvest Prep/Ridgewood until regional finals.

IHS Starts season without leading rusher & heavily recruited D1 player.

QB1 goes out in Game 1 that played in state final last year.

QB 2 steps up & assists IHS past Burg/Jackson.

Dynamic (RB) Jacques Keyes, who emerges as IHS potent runner, goes out in last half of Jackson Game.

IHS is banged!

That is why while others see what they wish, I see a bunch of young Tigers NOT giving up & finding a way to win.

INSPIRATIONAL!

Records of 3 teams IHS HAS beaten:

Wheelersburg 2-1
Jackson 2-1
Fairland 2-1

Come what may!

The number of times Ironton gets called for false starts is astounding. I've NEVER seen a team with so many.

Yabba, you can say what you want. The last 8 quarters of Ironton-wheelersburg competition.. something like 70-12. If they actually do improve, maybe they'll come within 3 TDs the next time.

Totally agree. Fairland is 100% better than last year, hats off to them for a great game. Tigers shoot themselves in the foot on crucial drives every game. I too am thinking that's just who they are. Can't seem to fix it. Next week will definitely tell who they are.
Offensive line has a ton of experience. Still makes a ton of mistakes.

An OVC team.

Two games unable to put together and sustain drives. The competition has been fine. Ok. Not elite. It's ok to be honest. Tons of penalties. It's not correcting itself. Struggling to move the ball. Defenses are starting to figure out that Ironton isn't all that potent offensively.

Irontons defense takes a beating every week. They are on the field so much they start getting fatigued and making mistakes. Against better competion [ ridgewood, harvest prep, kirtland) it'll cause em to get blown out. Now ya have the showcase game this upcoming before you start getting lulled to sleep for 5/6 weeks in a row against a conf schedule that isn't gonna put up much fight. I'd be concerned if I were Ironton looking ahead. I really would.

QB1's injury must have been pretty serious. He's missed both scrimmages & the 1st 3 weeks of the season minus the very lil bit he played vs burg in week one yes? What's the story on that? Any eta on a return? Out for season?

Is the heavily recruited D1 returnee the student athlete were not allowed to discuss anymore on here? Ironton fans said he's moved on, respect his privacy, next man up? Moderators said he's not playing this season. So not relevant?

But now it's relevant?

So just when whoever feels like whatever. When it feels convenient to a complaining fan base it's fine. If it is or feels inconvenient, were gonna delete stuff cause complaining. Yup. Sounds about right. Pardon me. Carry on. Next man up you were sayin?

Few days or whatever ago it was don't talk about what we are missing or who is not playing. It's "next man up" we're moving forward.

Week 3 rolls around and an OVC team takes ya to OT in your house and it's.... hey remember we don't have .......... smh. But I knew that's exactly how that would go.

If not for the old phantom hold call, ironton loses. Should be 1-right now looking at 1-3. With all the new players they’re average at best .

Before the game it was, were gonna beat Fairland by 30 or whatever.

After the game it's, I knew fairland was a good team.

And when you point this out: the pearls get clutched and someone makes a corny post about "these kids work really hard and you're just being mean" -or whatever, when the kids are not being called out for anything. The fanbase is being called out for being hypocritical.

Ironton & Fairland both played not to just give the game away to the other. Came down to who flubbed up last. Nobody really took it and controlled it.
