A WF/cvulle game brings in somewhere around 3,000 and there were way more than that there last week. I have seen people lined up all the way wround the fence before but these people were lined up 2 and 3 deep behind the scoreboard area

Before the site was picked there was wide spread speculation that it would be a double header at Peden, that they offered such an event for $600.00. I don't know where that "speculation" came from but now we're being told they did NOT make such an offer. If they did it last year and was successful I can't see them passing it up this year knowing there would be more in attendance this year. I don't know if they offered or not, just seems weird if they didn't.

It's going to be crazy the amount of people at this game. It's just a shame many won't make the attempt to come now considering the situation.

discgolfer is feeling very confident. Even with the injuries and personal issues we had at Burg I don't think it would be that bad. I haven't heard any reports on Malone and Rowland. We probably wouldn't report their status if we knew - keep the Stangs guessing.

I'm having a hard time getting how people can't get through their thick heads that the OHSAA, through the media have both come out and said Jackson nor OU put in for a Saturday game. Doesn't matter where this game is played. The whining over the site is ridiculous now.

The MUSTANGS will prepare as all of the tigers are healthy I'm sure. They will be ready for this game come Saturday night! The MUSTANGS are all healthy which is a nice thing to have at this point in the season, but then, we can rest people because we beat up on the "smaller" SVC schools. army and wing-t, you two need to get back to class. I am so glad we have this conspiracy thing finally figured out. That was really bugging me! This game will be won by the MUSTANGS IN THE TRENCHES! MUSTANGS by 2 TD'S!!!

I don't think anyone is whining hogfarmer, just having conversation trying to understand why this site was chosen. Why is it such as bad thing to desire a better venue for these two great teams, their schools and their fans? Not to mention the hundreds from other schools and cities who WOULD HAVE ATTENDED. No-one is saying the chosen site gives a clear advantage to one team and it's not just Waverly people who have complained.

bugii,
I was basically responding to discgolfer's prediction of 34-7. That kind of prediction must be based on several Tiger injuries. I only know of two and have not heard of their status for Saturday. We had way more injuries at Burg and other issues and only lost 31-7 with Burg punching one in for good measure with about a minute to go. We held Burg scoreless in 2nd half until then and had opportunities in the red zone in the 3rd to cut it to 24-21 but passes were picked off in the endzone.
I would expect nothing else from Westfall then to prepare for a healthy Tiger squad. That's what every team does.

Why don't you Waverly people get a grip. The site was announced FOUR days ago and you're still complaining

Last time I checked, there will be a field, locker rooms, and plenty of football. Let's talk about the GAME.

I'm still seeing people complaining about the site. That's the only reason I bring it up.

But anyway, how many playoff appearances is this in a row for Waverly? The funny thing seems to be the old DIII Region 12 looks easier than this region this season. Should be a good ballgame.

wing-t, I don't know which part of that truth you are referring to, but let me tell you it wouldn't bother me if we beat you 60-2. Get better! Here is the funny thing about football playoff sites, if schools don't put in to host a playoff game, they don't get called. It is as simple as that. Walls is a good athlete. The MUSTANGS want to see how he does under the extreme pressure we will bring on Saturday night. Does anyone have the rushing stats for the tigers? GO MUSTANGS!!!

bman,
That's exactly what we said about dropping from D3 to D4. When we first knew we were dropping we thought it would be better but as you can see, D4 is tougher. Waverly would have finished #1 in region 12 this year. But, it is what it is. Sort of gives us a perspective on our 41-6 loss to now D2 Desales. They dismantled a very good Zanesville team who dismantled a very good Portsmouth team.

Your part of the problem...Your attitude
but let me tell you it wouldn't bother me if we beat you 60-2
thats a class statement. It's really too bad that some fans like you give the good Westfall fans a bad name. I have never had a problem with Westfall's football team or coaching staff, the problem is some of the fans. The bragging /berating/ arrogant/ learn to support a winner with class. Like I said this has nothing to do with the team just some of the over zealous fans

I say that the next person who complains about how this game is being played at Teays Valley and not Jackson or OU should be taken out behind the woodshed. Sure, I was in disbelief when I first heard the location, but that was 4 days ago. I'm all about the Tigers in this one, but enough is enough. Let it go. The horse is already dead, no need to keep beating it.

tiger, I saw DeSales against Circleville and Desales football is on another level. That's what I've beeing saying about the Circleville-Indian Hill game. I'll take a game against them in a heart beat over a game with DeSales.

But whomever wins Region 15, it will be an accomplishment. The top seven in the region are all very solid football teams.

Division 3, Region 12 truly was left wide open this season as the 4 finalists from the regional semis in 2006 all moved on...

(DeSales and New Albany up to D2, and Gallia and Waverly down to D4)

Go Tigers!
The SOC is cheering you on all the way!

sorry...got off topic again, lol.

Here's hoping the Waverly D comes out playing nasty and physical like they did in the 2nd half against UL last week. Defense wins championships!

What time will the gates open? I'm getting so pumped for this game.
Word is a Waverly fan will be bringing his RV and setting up a big screen TV to watch the Ohio State game. Maybe we could get some posters to gather around and meet each other.

Everyone is talking about the defense of Westfall. I think it will be the defense of Waverly that wins this one.
