Actually they lost one linemen. I don't know who your cousin is either but the lower grades are full of talent that just needs some time in the weightroom. With the program in place now I look for Minford to consistently be good for a while now.

Didn't they lose Howard, Ostrowski, Hockett, and Crabtree, and number 19 (Fitzgerald I think who played D.Tackle). Not trying to argue, because I would image you know a lot more about Minford that I do, but that seems like a lot. I don't think Minford was weak up front, because they handled a strong Coal Grove team, I just think we were stronger and quicker. Not being arrogant, just stating. I also think that Minford came out flat against us and they were thinking that would run us into the ground or they were still hung over from their Burg loss, and We were pumped up, mad and on a mission. I also don't see Minford being down for a while, I think they are starting to build a program, only time will tell though.

From about week 5 or so on Howard was the only starting senior on the o-line. They bring back Gillam, Kimble, Alley, Miller, and Price at tight end. There will be plenty of younger guys to step in and push the older ones as well, I think the o-line will be a strength this year.

I hope so. I like seeing half the league in the playoffs. Good competition will make everyone better and result in longer playoff runs.

West was the only team Minford did not match up well physically with last year. I am not sure if Minford was flat. West was pumped, West was a little stronger or what but give West the props/ This year Minford will improve again. I think there is plenty of talent that will fit together well in grades 7-10 eventually. Work ethic is what separates players eventually in high school and I think Minford has plenty.

Then why are we getting our butt handed to us at those levels?

do you think some of this could be because of the change in the pee-wee system? Seems like their numbers are up, but could the lack of playing competitively until middle school be hurting some? At times I wished West went to this system, but it may be a mistake.

Offense: Howard- C,

Defense: Ostrowski-SLB, Hockett-DT, Crabtree-DT, and Fitzgerald-DE. So it looks like it's the D-Line and one LB the Falcons will need to replace.

Nope I actually believe the pee-wee system in place now is helping the program. I think, if I remember correctly, the 07 team's Seniors were the first group to come through after the change was made. So I guess you could say that this pee wee system has produced two play off teams. Actually a good number of productive players didn't even play until the change was made.

Minford has the best, most organized pee-wee system in Scioto county. They play among themselves and put out 5 teams of 16 players in a two grade system and everyone plays. The grades start K-3 flag football and 3-6 tackle. They just need to stick with the program.

That he did the first part of the year i believe the second half of the season he suffered an ankle injury in the burg game and seen limited playing time. Many of this year's defensive players seen a considerate amount of action so the drop off shouldnt be to drastic.

Honestly, I have no idea why your even still around? You should have been banned a long time ago. Many of your posts are attacking a kid. Get a life. Keep on hiding behind your computer screen because you wouldnt be man enough to say this crap to Joel's face.

Didn't J. Williams only play 3 games healthy? I know he sat out 3 games due to the OHSAA and then was hurt due to a high ankle sprain the rest of the year. The Soph. FB Slone filled in for him and from what I saw did a pretty darn good job.
