Hey Yabba,
Honestly who do you think will win next weeks game between Minford and Valley? I know you have seen both play and, I wonder as an objective spectator what your opinion is. I didnt see the game tonight but I know that Minford didnt give up the yardage to the Burg that Valley did, but hey Minford played the Burg @ home so......

I would have to say Minford also. Valley just didn't show me much tonight. Everyone talked about that great passing game and I didn't really see it. Valley tried to establish a running game early. They moved the ball pretty good on there first TD, which they only had to 34 yards after the good punt return. After that series, there running game was non-existent.
I would guess Minford 28-7

Rushing, 31/57 yards
Yeah, I'd say Valleys running game was pretty non existent tonight.
As much as I'd love to see a Valley win so the Burg could share the SOC II and get computer points, unless Minford completely implodes I don't see them losing to the Indians. Minfords defense will shut down Valleys running game just like the Burg did and make them throw the ball and Yates is the only receiver they seem to throw to.
Minford 31
Valley 13

Burg Grad and Yabba
I expect too see your Pirates on the road week 11 against Fredricktown or Oak Hill....I think that the Pirates have hit full stride and will make some noise in the Playoffs.

Valley scored on a short field after a good punt return and then the second TD was makeup from Stegmans TD in the first half that Valley thought was out of bounds. On Valley's second TD, 14 for Valley got himself a little seperation between him and the defender. pretty easy to catch a ball when the defender is lying on the ground.
The pass, catch and pitch was a nice play. the Valley player just dropped the ball. No one touched him. That was a for sure TD.
Another thing that baffled me is why does Lang wear gloves while hi is under center? Ball looked like a greased pig everytime he touched it. They finally had him take them off in the 4th qtr. The game was over by then.
It wasn't so much that the Valley Fans though Stegman did not catch the ball for a touchdown it was the fact that the Referee on the Wheelersburg sideline signaled the Wheelersburg player on his side off the ball, and Stegman who was line up on the Valley side was also lined up off the ball by the referee therefore the play should not have even taken place, not enough men on the line of scrimmage. But then again what do you expect the game was at Wheelersburg "Where Referees Determine Outcomes of Games"

OK... take away that TD and Burg still wins the football game.

The way it stands right now don't be too suprised if we see a Falcon/Pirate rematch brewing for week #11. There is a very good chance barring any upsets that Burg could finish in the 6 hole and Minford 3rd. Talk about a packed house in Falcon land.

WOW! You really need to re-watch the film, Stegman was def. on line. The Off. Crew at burg were veterans with tons of playoff experience, from the Ironton chapter by the way.

I don't see this happening. If they both win, I see Minford a 2 or 3 seed, more likely 3 seed. Burg win, they are 9th now would get to 8th seed unless teams in front get upset.

Not necessarily. If Minford wins, I think Minford stays as #3 unless those ahead of them lose. Wheelersburg sould fall between 6 and 8, but most likely scenario would be 6 I think. If everhything plays out according to records and expectations, I would not be suprised to see this matchup provided both win this Friday.
Here is projections from another site based upon the planned top 8 results.
LU loses Minford Wins (LU is picked to lose by 3 to West Jeff)
1 Fredericktown 21.0000
2 Oak Hill 20.8000
3 Minford 20.6000
4 Monroe Cent 19.7631
5 Coal Grove 19.6000
6 Wheelersburg 19.5000
7 Ridgewood 19.0000
8 Caldwell 17.5000
9 Nelsonville 16.4000
10 Liberty Union 16.2000

Yeah both referees signaled their receivers off the ball closed fist pointed away from the line of scrimmage. With the referee on the Wheelersburg sideline signaling first, when the Head Official was asked after the play stated he did not see the signals of the other refs, thought that was his job, but they are human and do make mistakes.
