That was one whale of a game to watch! Desales is a good football team so hats off to them.

This team is so much fun to watch. Every man did his job and the Dogs made yet another statement!

It did not take long for Athens to establish that they were the better team.

While listening to this one I had to smile and think with the win that there was going to be a lot less crying about private schools recruiting, with the way Athens was able to blow out DeSales in this one.

Congrats on the win and good luck again next week.

And I think DeSales can rattle Burrow, if they have their heads on straight. I'm counting the Steuby win as a fluke because they are arrogant jerks and they were at home and all that Roll Red Roll crap was getting into the kids' heads. Other than TV, they haven't been tested, and TV rattled Burrow. They didn't have the stamina to do it for four quarters, but DeSales does. They win the head-to-head on strength and conditioning. They win on the line, too. Probably a little smaller, but they always play bigger. If you doubt that, get in the trenches yourself. Shut down Williams. Pressure Burrow. Tom Herman has already scouted the guy, and he's hedging his bets with Gibson. I love a traditional drop-back pocket dude, but the game has passed this type by. If DeSales can do for four quarters (and I think they can) what TV did for one quarter, then this is a whole new ballgame. You got three guys down field, and you've got one second to read the best option. Burrow takes two seconds. Sorry, Bucks. He'll be awesome at signaling the plays. And he'll be a great coach some day. But, this game? A real test. Keep them under 30, and it's a contest with the Stallions having the edge. 17 year old kids. Psychology. I hate that it's a factor, but it is.
Wow they really rattled Burrow!! :122246 Joe Burrow 319 yards passing 5 Td and 105(maybe more) Running yards with 2 TD's, Trae Williams 1 running TD and 1 receiving. Both sides of the ball and special teams came through for the bulldogs. Athens county proud, now it's the Tomcat's turn.
Joe even threw and cought his own pass for TD so ran 2 threw 5 cought 1 not too bad a day for rattled QB

Props to coach Adams and his staff. There are a lot of teams that have raw talent but you can't make a playoff run without coaching. Athens has a bunch of gifted athletes and the football staff's coaching has risen to match the talent on the field. This is a well prepared team. Over the years Athens always had decent basketball and baseball programs and football lagged behind. Because of the job Adams has done Athens is definitely now a football school.

Now I hope the Tomcats can keep this Athens County run going!

I was there! congrats to this team and Coaches! Finally thawed out.ha...Great team and performance. I have been around and involved in more ballgames than anyone else that gets on here I would assume. Athens is the best overall football team in the history of Southeastern Ohio without question IMO and bring it home here in a couple weeks!!

This looks like a closer game when looking at the stats, but sounded like it was anything but that! The turnovers really killed the Stallions. The radio said they were doing good job moving the ball and eating up the clock then the turnovers struck and it was lights out.Congrats to the Doggies and good luck next week!

The highest scoring team in Ohio HISTORY is Clinton-Massie's 822 points in 2012. Second place is THE ATHENS BULLDOGS with 775 (after tonight). Third place is Marion Pleasant's 731 points from 2001 ... 47 shy of the state record!!!

Athens is 13-0 and 10 of those games have been a running clock.

Congrats A-Town on tonight's win and good luck to the 'Cats tomorrow.

For God's sake, can people not just be happy for one second and enjoy the fact we have two teams in the final four (Athens & Valley) - and trying to get a third & fourth in tomorrow night?

I don't give a rat's ass how Athens stacks up against other teams historically. It's a stupid comparison and impossible to prove or judge.

Congrats Athens from Orlando! Bring it back to SEO. 2-more W's & we get to show Stark County how FAIR It is to play the finals in the middle of the state!
AN IRONTON FANcheering you on!!! I think you take out another tough Catholic School in ASVSM. Ironton shocked them once in Akron for the hardware. & lost a couple others to them @ the finals in the Shoe.
ATHENS MARCHES INTO THE FINALS! Need to look @ the other semi match-up, but my gut says ... Athens brings it south!!!
