I sat at the Sheridan-Maysville triple OT game (Maysville 27-24) and listened to most of the Athens-Big Red game. What an enjoyable night of football. Congrats Athens.

He won't get it, someone from Columbus or up north will...

Burrow won the Gatorade POY last year. Just another example of SE Ohio, cutting on and doubting one of its own! Sad!

you mean realism? i hope he does but I wouldn't hold my breath. Name the last SE Ohio Mr. Football? Has there been one? Recognizing the screw job put on teams from SE Ohio isn't sad, its reality.

Because they ducked competition in the SEOAL and have clueless fans spouting off about a state championship ( LOL) ,I hope the education is a good one.

Name another SE Ohio, player who has won the state Gatorade POY award? And you forget, he has something that no other SE Ohio skill kid has had since the award was created.

He is simply a failed coach, who instead of having a little personal reflection, would rather tear down others. As a head coach he could not get a job in SE Ohio, so he moved north, was a miserable failure and wants to justify that by stating all things south of I-70 to be inferior.Football fan wrote:This is a post from Padilin on the Ohio Valley Athletics forum (http://www.ovathletics.com/forum/showth ... This is from Steubenville's paper
Athens, which entered the game as Ohio's third ranked Division III club, now has won 26 straight regular season games. The 58 points are the most a Big Red team has allowed at Harding Stadium since a 60-0 loss to Canton McKinley in 1963. - See more at: http://www.heraldstaronline.com/page/co ... mcvQj.dpuf

Was a fun game to watch but there was a lot of home cooking. they had a steubenville section reserved in the middle of the athens side. I thought a little dirty to do that. Fence was only 3-8 feet from the sideline, not a bright idea. Athens didn't play its best game
Re: Week 6: Athens (5-0) @ Steubenville (4-1)
That center section is reserved for Steubenville School Employees and their family and has been that way. Usually visiting teams do not bring that many fans to make a difference. Like you, I do not believe that to be right. The best seats on the visitor side should always be for the visitors, no matter how many travel to the game. That section probably holds in the area of 500 or more seats, and only had a hundred or so Steubenville Employees there last evening.RAIDER6309 wrote:Was a fun game to watch but there was a lot of home cooking. they had a steubenville section reserved in the middle of the athens side. take away the first couple mistakes and this game would have been a running clock.RAIDER6309 wrote:Was a fun game to watch but there was a lot of home cooking. they had a steubenville section reserved in the middle of the athens side. Thought Athens would win this but didn't think they would score above 35.
Was glad to see Williams just had cramps when he went out.
