Still new injuries. Maniskas on cruches with some kinda leg injury, took Martin off on a stretcher and to the hospital. Jackson had an injury tonite as well. Last I heard Bolt galia was in a good scrap tonite as well. Should be a real toughy next week.C-Bolt wrote:For Logan all I heard was Maniskas and Martin, trench, gotta hope they stay healthy after that meat grinder next week because Gallia will not be easy!

Coach Burke is bringing that "winning feeling" back to LHS ... you can feel it in the building! school spirit in the halls from both the students and the staff , Coach Burke has the Purple headed in the right direction ... thank you Coach! great to see the excitement back in the hallways at LHS ...
Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Good news is Little made it back out on the field tonite, but I doubt he plays QB any the rest of the year.Gallia won and gave up 49 but scored 55.Trenchfoot wrote:Still new injuries. Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Gallia had matchup problems as I expected. Jackson will have the same problem with Portsmouth. Logan dominated the Trojans. Chiefs should match up well with Gallia while the Gallia -Jackson game is a toss up. Chiefs in a good position for the title, but would have been nice to see the Trojans beat Gallia tonite.

Yep, placement holder for extra points. Could sneak him back in there sometime, but I doubt it. Yeah I done compared the points to when Logan played Portsmouth. Going to be another good one with the Gallia I bet.C-Bolt wrote:Good news is Little made it back out on the field tonite, but I doubt he plays QB any the rest of the year.Gallia won and gave up 49 but scored 55.Trenchfoot wrote:Still new injuries. Should be another good one, but just got to hope they don't get beat up by that beast too bad next week,I remember that one year over there they were dropping like flies with concussions.

Re: Jackson (3-3) @ Logan (3-3)
Congrats to Logan. Very entertaining game.
Jackson had their chances to win, but they made some costly mistakes down the stretch. Gotta forget about it and move on to Portsmouth though. It's still possible to win a share of an SEOAL championship, so there's still plenty to play for the next few weeks.
I will say that I was impressed with the heart Jackson showed to tie the game at 21 after the muffed punt. That was impressive. Everything after that obviously didn't go well, but the kids did give a great effort. They'll learn from this and be better because of it in the future.

Zanesville probably by as many as they want trench, Just hope they come out healthy for the game that matters most to them, its only a two game contract I believe but i hope they stay on because they need a good stiff test like that once in while esp. now that they are improving.

Yeah, I know the contract isn't a long period of time, I was just throwing some humor in there. I hope the Chiefs comes out of that game healthy as well. They will need to be, hunting down that SEOAL title. GO CHIEFS!!!!!C-Bolt wrote:Zanesville probably by as many as they want trench, Just hope they come out healthy for the game that matters most to them, its only a two game contract I believe but i hope they stay on because they need a good stiff test like that once in while esp. now that they are improving.

Re: Logan 28 Jackson 21
That was tough, kids gave way to much effort to end with that result.
I am always 100% positive, but some real puzzling offensive strategy prior to end of half and an even stranger defensive strategy at end of game. Had plenty of time prior to half and we sort of just let 3 minutes go by with all timeouts and ball at 50. Same thing last week at Warren. Could have been more than a 7-0 lead at half, or at least an attempt.
Give Logan credit, went 50 yards in last 50 seconds to win.
Special teams need work, and getting secondary coached up and an answer for there will be next thing to work on for Portsmouth.

Notted up 10-10 all-time.Trenchfoot wrote:What is the all time series wins/losses with Logan/Zanesville? Have any idea Bolt?
Zanesville won the first 9 games, 8 of those from 1991-1998.
Logan then won the next 10 between 1999-2009 (teams didn't play in 2003).
Zanesville won in 2010 and the teams haven't played since then.
I think this is certainly Zanesville's best team since 1997 when they put up over 50 against the Chiefs. They may be the best team Logan has seen in quite some time. Only good news is that ZHS has knocked off their two biggest rivals the last two weeks, and no one would blame them for over looking Logan.

Re: Logan 28 Jackson 21
Heck of a game last night.
Whoever lost this game was going to feel like they let one slip away, and I'm sure that's exactly how Jackson players, coaches, and fans feel.
Jackson controlled the line of scrimmage for most of the first three quarters of play, but failed to punish the Chiefs for it. Logan didn't help themselves with the uncharacteristic penalties in the first half - particularly the dead-ball personal fouls.
But the team came out ready to play after halftime. Only 2 possessions combined in the third quarter. A real "classic" Logan-Jackson quarter of football.
It was nice to see Isiah Smith get rewarded on the long TD pass - he has gotten open on that route all year. Did a great job after the catch to make it count for six.
Both teams played their guts out. Logan made Jackson pay for poor special teams on the last drive. The late hit penalty erased all doubt.
Pfloyd - I think you are right. The "BELIEF" is back in Chieftain nation. Glad to hear that it is apparent in the hall ways of LHS. NOthing like a "Purple Friday" in L-town.
But I'll say this - Logan football isn't back 'till we give out a plaque!
(For those who don't know, all SEOAL championship teams at LHS get a plaque with the team picture and scores)
Let's go down and win at Gallipolis and bring home number 26!

Thanks Locos for the info. I was thinking it was pretty even wins for both.LoganLocos wrote:Notted up 10-10 all-time.Trenchfoot wrote:What is the all time series wins/losses with Logan/Zanesville? Have any idea Bolt?
