I was standing outside my house the other day and I started hearing the theme song to the movie Rocky playing. I had to think for a minute. I know I am a block from the high school and those fighting tigers are out there practicing, getting ready for game 1 battle with the Burg. Could coach Vass be playing music in the stadium to be pumping up the team like Rock Hill or Coal Grove with their midnight madness practices. Then I cleared my head and realized I was talking about The Fighting Tigers of Ironton. There ain't no way in He _ _ something like that's going on in tiger town. Then I realized they were having band camp. Bout had my third big one. Anyhow, early prediction, Burg will be shocked this year with a feisty Ironton bunch out for some sweet revenge. Ironton 33-10. Plenty of Irontons Million Dollar Marching Band Playing that night as The Fighting Tigers prevail.

Bait, if you remember, back at least when I was in school we were one step from being cocky about our football. We walked into every game believing we were going to win no matter who it was. Only when you start questioning yourself do you get down and lose confidence. Our kids should have that confidence that they used to have. We do have a very good team this year and we have a second string that can hold their own. First time I have seen this much depth for a long time. Ironton will be a tough team this year if they go in confident. By the way, Paladino weighed in at 195 the other day and ran a 4.4 40. He will be fun to watch as will the rest of this group.

Neither one of irontons backs have great speed. They're pretty good but track stars they are not.
