Royal, who moved back? I always told my buddies that the falcons would turn the corner with Brent Daniels.

How did Minford look at the Jackson 7 on 7. I could not get there.

Minford is suppose to be three deep at every postion this year. That is a major change from years past. Now the mind set needs to change. Don't play the name on the shirt and don't get wrapped up in the orange and black colors they play every year. This is the year of the RED!

3 deep? Do you mean skillwise or just the # of players?

If they are that deep than they should have very few players going both ways.

Two deep is pretty good for a D 5 team. Actually, 1.5 deep is real good.

Don't forget you can have a player go both ways and some players just play one way. Players in high school can also cover three different positions for depth. You can play WR, RB, CB, QB and add depth to those positons. If Minford has 55 kids out its easy to go 3 deep at all positions.

Well then Wheelersburg was about 5 deep last year cause we moved people everywhere throughout the season

Spoke with my old buddy from out around Muletown last week. Although I feel West, and Burg will both be tough outings for anyone in the conference this season, the falcons are going to be one tough team to beat.

1.Minford
2.Portsmouth West
2.Wheelersburg
2.Waverly
3.Valley
4.Northwest

I haven't been able to get over to Minford to see anything except one passing camp. They were impressive speed, size and skill wise. The rumblings I hear from those in the know are good. Only games will tell the story. Everyone has potential right now.

Last count I heard on Minford was 57 boys out this year. That is far better than two years ago.

That's far and away from the 80-90 kids that they had in the weight room, but 57 kids is great for DV football... congrats to Minford and good luck!

Non-Conference schedule looks very weak, Falcons should be undefeated heading into league play.

I am sure the team will take it one game at a time. I'd also expect Coal Grove to have a very good team.

Coal Grove should be good, and Huntington Ross always gives Minford a close game year in and year out, you can count on that. Take it one game at a time and this will be another good year for the Mighty Minford Falcons!
