To get into the 1000 lb club at SG, one has to reach at total equal to or greater than 1000 lbs using the maxes in three lifts: the true parallel squat (a lot of people do not make their lifters go parallel) the bench press and the deadlift.

Congrats to these kids on getting 1000, and to the ones getting 800, keep working 1000 is closer than you think!

Its not to hard to reach the 1000 pound club especially with deadlift being part of it. You can reach half of it with that one lift. make it a 1200 pound club.

Yeah but if you have even minor injuries it makes the 1000 lbs hard to achieve. I broke my wrist my junior year so I couldnt bench from the rest of that year or my senior year and it limited my deadlift too, but I still had it at 525 my junior year. But I couldn't increase the weight anymore because of my wrist!

Raiderball!!! You know who I am I don't talk cheap talk !!!And one more thing with out the transfers SG would have a good team.Young but good !!!Lost 4 players from last season, plus they got better as the season went on last year!!! So adding a few older players makes a good mix. so make the RV VS SG Scrimmage happen !!! ;-)
