Re: Minford 2008
i grew up in south webster, didnt get to play football but had friends from minford, married a minford girl and go to 90% of their games every year. i dont look for them to have a bad year at all. just gotta be ready each week, play it game by game. but watch out when webster comes to town on a friday night, then i will sit on the other side of the stadium

Re: Minford 2008
Not anytime at all. Minford Pee-Wee just bought all of SW football equipment from their Pee-Wee level since they folded the program out of no support from the high school level. Shame! the boys who loved it are hurting the most.
Re: Minford 2008
Idea!!
Since South Webster is located next door to Minford, the ones who played football and loved the game can come over to Minford's pee-wee and Jr. High.

It would be nice. But, the parents have to change schools if they cont to high school. Kids lose their friends. The ones who really, really want to play the game will do it. So, will see.

If the student is in elementary or Jr. High they can go to the other school under open enrollment and the parent does not have to change school districts and if the student goes on into high school in that open enrolled district they still don't have to live in the district.
If this is not correct someone please set me straight. (as I know you will )LOL
By the way it don't have to be just Minford. I'm sure Wheelersburg, Green, East, Oak Hill would be glad to have them . It could be West, Northwest, Valley, Waverly. Especially if they have T-A-L-E-N-T
Good Luck to all the boys that leave South Webster because you want to play Football.

Re: Minford 2008
i wish more kids would beg their parants to drive them 5 miles down the road to play pee wee for minford. i graduated in 2001 from south webster and always think about the fun i missed out on from not having the oppritunity to play football. football will never make it in south webster. its sad, but unless its a round orange ball going twords a basket it gets no funding. i know for a fact if they would have kept the pee wee program going and filtered it on up to the high school level in a few years the people in south webster would begin to have a new love on friday nights

Re: Minford 2008
Anybody know how many 7th graders and 8th graders @ Minford are out for the teams?
Its always good to know the feeder system is doing well.

You are right. the Sanford kid will be a great qb if he develops his speed. He has a nice am and knwledge of the game, just needs to pick it up a lil bit.
Minford has a bright future on the horizon. 7th and 8th grade looking good. Numbers are good.

Re: Minford 2008
I think what MINFORD needs to do is get the kids who are at the school and not playing instead of worrying about transfers.. i think it may be changing a little bit... i could name a few that, if they would have trained, could have added impact to some seasons...
Re: Minford 2008
Numbers have been slowly climbing. Our training is getting better, with good Coaches in the 7th & 8th grades, along with a Head Coach that comes down from time to time and checks on them !
I believe that Coaches , Caudill, Gaines, Gamble, and Berry have made a huge impact on these boy`s. Some of them just need to mature a little more. Oh ya, Coach Dawson !

Good luck to the Falcons next year. I see them and the Burg being the front runners for the SOC II race.
Thanks Burg Grad. I look for Minford, 'burg, and West to all field nice teams. The season starts now, so it will be interesting to see who works the hardest. I know Minford is off to a good start.
Good Call !!
