Very unclassy to sit on the other team's side and run your mouth and start fights.

I understand the visitors side bleachers werent that big, heck I wasnt impressed with much at that particular stadium. But it seemed like the Freddies fans were running their mouths and unclassy all night.

Anywho, good luck to the Freddies. Hopefully you can get to that championship game now that OHSAA rebracketed and you dont have to play Youngstown Universuline.
You must have Ben beside me haha I was to the left of that haha but I believe it happened when the play was over and the ffreddies pushed over a oak Jill kid after the whistle and the ran yelled he tripped which triggered some unhappy oak hill people

Boilermaker... I agree, and I can tell you that the angle the film was shot at does not do the play justice at all. The play was right in front of our section (no obstructed view at all) and it was obvious that the kid wrenched his knee after the play. It was a very cheap play. I was there and no one will convince me otherwise. I won't blame the officials because calls get missed all the time, but it is one of the dirtiest plays I have ever witnessed in person at a high school game.

yabbadabbadoo wrote:Like was said, nothing wrong at all with the tackle. It was text book tackle. He went low, wrapped the legs and brought down the runner.

Now, once he had him on the ground, the play was dead, the runner was down so therefore there is no reason for the defender to twist around like he did, to a player lying on the ground defenseless and not expecting it. Uncalled for!!!!!!!!!! It looked intentional and it looked violent. It was evident what the defender was trying to do.

I agree, the hit and tackle were fine, it was the twisting of leg after Westin was down that was bull. It WAS Cheap!

WOW!!! What a game Saturday night. It was alot of fun watching two great teams going head to head in a great, tough, hard fought game. Oak Hill, you definitely deserve and earned your first place seed in the playoffs. You young men should be very proud with the way you played and the things you've accomplished this season.
Hate to see all the negative comments about the officiating, the Freddies had their share of penalties also, (Freddies [coaches] your time management ,the delay of game penalties, the team having to rush to the line to get the play off before the clock runs down, burning a time out to keep from getting penalized can come back to hurt you and can be a real momentum stopper, it's been bad the last two games.),everybody wants to blame the officiating but doesn't want to give credit to a good team.
As far as the "unclassy" fans lets be real, every team have their unclassy fans. I don't like listening to the name calling or foul mouths from our fans anymore than I like hearing it from any other teams fans but unfortunately that is the way some people are. The accusations of dirty play are also unnecessary,I feel it was a good game and a good showing from both teams, both teams were pushing and shoving after the play was blown dead, it's football for crying out loud things like that are going to happen. Lets stop playing the blame game and give both teams the credit they deserve.
Way to go FREDDIES, you young men should be proud of everything you've accomplished thus far, the silligiff family is proud of you and looking forward to next weeks game. GO FREDDIES!!!

Hit was fine.....but the grip and roll was disgusting...I hope they get CRUSHED. It was clear what he was doing, he didnt even disguise it good, he rolled INTO the player, I mean he didnt even pretend to be getting up and rolling the opposite way.

It's sad that coaches teach kids to play dirty and cheat...and that is BLATANT cheating. Way to raise quality young me fredricktown.

No blame for the officials for me. Calls went both ways. Just couldn't believe what I saw a member of your team do once the play was over. Good luck to the Freddies... One player's awful judgement won't make me downgrade the whole team. I am sure that there are many fine young men on your team. Hope you do well this weekend. Just wish that play did not take place. Can't believe the kid will look back and feel proud of what he did. If he does, then I believe he has worse problems than what happens in a high school football game.

I thought the 1st half was as clean as you can get was a great football game. Now the second half there was “chippiness,” from both sides. It may have to do with all the Oak Hill fans down by the Freddie locker room, in the north end zone by the bathrooms, yelling obscenities at the kids as they came out of the locker room for warmups the second half. A Sheriff’s deputy told one woman to shut her mouth and if she didn’t get back she was going to be escorted out. This was a woman who looked to be in her early to mid 40s, brunette, and wearing black hooded Oak Hill sweat shirt with the name “Phillips,” on the back. She’s old enough to know better than to say the stuff she was saying to a bunch of kids, specifically #21 of the Freddies. I was in line for the bathroom and couldn’t believe the things that were coming from her mouth. Sounded like someone picked her up in a bar in Circleville on the way up.

Anyway, none of this changes the outcome of the game in which the Freddies made less mistakes and won the game.

I also know from the Minford playoff game with Oak Hill someone went to the visitors locker room with a bottle of yellow mustard and sprayed it all over the place sometime between the start of the game and halftime. I don't know who would do something like that but I bet it wasn't any Minford fans doing it to their own locker room.

howw could you possibly think that is not a dirty play? it clearly is in my eyes. Im not even from around oak hill, and ive watched this clip prolly 30 times, you can clearly see when the runner was already down, and the freddie defender turned while still having the runners leg and twisted his leg. that was cheap.

I was right there also...she was yelling (which I don't agree with), but not one obscenity came out of her mouth... not one.

^ I heard exactly what she said as I was standing to the left of her in the direction Fredericktown came out of the locker room, and she told #21 to get go to his mommie and get his F'en bottle amongst other things. I was 1 foot away and was embarrassed to be anywhere near her, and if she got hauled off to jail it would have been exactly what she deserved for disorderly conduct.

Point being, all teams have fans and players that do things that everyone on that team or community would not do, and to label a whole team or community as without class or ditry is unfair.

I agree it was not classy, but I am telling you she did not say the f word.. and she did not say bottle either. I was standing right by the fence which was about 25 feet closer than the bathrooms. She said Barbie not bottle... which I did not understand anyways. I agree.. not classy at all, but no f-word was spoken if you are talking about when the Freddies came out at halftime. Maybe you are referring to another instance.

I know exactly what I heard, and if the deputy arrested her I would have gave my name as a witness and agreed to testify against her. Regardless, how old is this woman anyway, 40ish? Anyway, she's plenty old enough to know better than to act like that in front of a bunch of kids.

People like this in every town, if you don't believe it then you haven't attended many games. The actions of a few should never represent the entire community... sorry it happened but not a good example of most who attended the game from Oak Hill. Very loyal fans who represented their community very well.

You just can't let it go, can you? Just let the football season go man. It's over. We know, our fans are terrible and Minford was clearly better than us. We cheated and none of us have class. Can we move on now?

FYI, I've attended many games and drive many miles to catch a game at all levels, and no this was a first at a HS game from an adult directly to a player. I've seen kids act like this but not a grown woman with the head coach's name on her back. Her actions were enough to warrant the attention of the Sheriff to tell her to shut up and get back or else she would be escorted out.

That's what I said earlier, is that just because a few people or one player acts a certain way it doesn't represent the whole community or team. I was getting sick of hearing everyone bash Fredericktown just for the actions of a few and pretending their fans and players are saints when I saw different.

Watch the play again and watch #70 get a nice little shot in at the end of the play. It was mild compared to what he was doing the rest of the night.

Whatever she said, that is crazy that a grown woman would act like that to a kid. Especially to have the coach's name on the back of her sweatshirt. Not saying there is any relation there, but it looks REALLY bad.
