How's Logan doing? More importantly, what is Logan's record against Lancaster, all time?

I dont think you are going to get an answer to that Jason. Paladin is a chicken and only wants to hear himself degrade people and areas of the state. When it comes to the nuts and bolts of the issue, he bolts (no pun intended).

No you will not get an answer from the all knowing Paladin, couple days ago he went on about how McComb a public D6 school beat Delphos St. Joe in the regional final, because they don't schedule like SEO teams. That they schedule BIG not WEAK like SEO.Bleeding Red wrote:Jason Vorhees wrote:How's Logan doing? More importantly, what is Logan's record against Lancaster, all time?

Myself and a couple other posters pointed out to the great all knowing Paladin that McComb played all D6 schools except a D5, that had a combined record of 47-53 or something along those lines. They won by scores of 70-0, 60-0, 50-0, 40-0, etc....he is all bluster and not much on getting his facts correct all the time. Just ignore his lameness.

Re: WEEK 13 Valley vs. Liberty Union
I get tired repeating myself. And the fact remains that most of SEO does NOT want tough schedules as they might not get that winning season. False hopes. Logan is one of the few schools in SEO to play tough schedules and does so because the league is weak and many teams down there don't offer up good competition. There ARE times, such as now, that it won't matter. Logan gets better by playing tougher schedules and has proved that when they have talent. What ruins the area for all is that most do not strive for competitive schedules. It isn't the division of the school you are playing , its their COMPETITIVE abilty. When you look at small schools around the state, don't look at the divisions they play..... look at WHO they play in those divisions. But I'm wasting my time here trying to preach to a choir who has no intentions of getting better by playing tougher teams.
You get what you deserve. And you deserve what you don't get.
BTW, McComb , just for one example, played a good schedule for a smalll school. Worst team there was 0-10 Hardin Northern, who just a few year ago was in the state several time. This year inclue current Liberty Benton, playing this week end. And several other decent programs all playing good claiber competition. Many of those schools are playing teams up thete that are outstanding. One who comes to mind is Patrick Henry, D-V who came down to D-II Jackson and butt kicked them. Typical SEO. Clueless.

Re: WEEK 13 Valley vs. Liberty Union
McComb is a good football team agree. Your statement is they got that way by scheduling "up". Here are the scores this year:
Calver 48-21
Van Buren 43-6
Hardin 61-0
Van 62-6
Cory 73-0
Arlington 41-12
Arcadia 64-0
Pandora 49-0
Overall record of those teams 28-51.
We all agree that SEO teams given the opportunity and the budget to do so should schedule teams outside their comfort zone. But I don't think any AD would get much support from an administration wanting to do that on every non-league open date. There are some financial constraints afterall that need to be considered. As I have indicated before your point is valid. But calling people "weak", or "clueless" or the area "sucks" shows more about you than your point.
BTW, I lived in Logan from 91-2000, before returning to Jackson. What decade did Patrick Henry play here cause I have been to most games in the past 12 years. Are you reaching back into the 90's for your example?

When is the last time Logan made a deep playoff run?

Re: WEEK 13 Valley vs. Liberty Union
Ok this is my last post about this whole Paladin SEO thing...way off topic on what originally was a Valley vs. LU thread lol, but I digress. Yes SEO is rarely represented in the regional final, or at a State level in the semi's or finals. Athens and Valley this year being sorta of an exception at the regional level. And Ironton and Wheelersburg and West in the past to some extent.
But scheduling "up" has very little to do with that reason. It is just the nature of the beast with respect to the NE, Central Ohio and SW seemingly being where the programs with the most success are located. It is where the population centers are, it is where the athletes that want to move around to solid programs can do so, it is where programs that are rich with tradition can reload and have years of successful runs. SEO is not geared that way, but that does not mean we don't continue to play and get better, and wait for that cycle of the right group of High School athletes in a 2-3 year span roll through and make a run in the play-offs. It happens just not as often.
It is like anything else at the collegiate level or professional level. There are programs that never really compete in football, Indiana in the Big Ten for example never really competes, but does that mean they quit playing football....no not hardly. The examples of schools that finish in the bottom of the Big 10, SEC, Pac and ACC conferences usually are accustomed to being in the bottom...but you keep playing and every now and again that right group comes along and provides for some winning and excitement. So Paladin, let us enjoy are runs by Valley, by Athens, and the like. No, SEO will never dominate like the NW, but I think we will keep playing and competing.
