I am familiar with Belpre, Fredricktown will win, probably with a running clock to end it

Valley's defense has made major strides lately, held Minford to 80 yards and a shutout against Valley's starters

Looking at raw point numbers is misleading...for example Valley has given up 242 points this year, but only 158 those were against the starters and the rest were against the JV squad in garbage time ( I know that isn't spectacular, but it is a big difference).

This is wide up region in my opinion. The top 7 teams all have a shot at this region if things go there way. Belpre should be happy and proud they made it and hopefully stay injury free for basketball practice next week. I hope I'am wrong but they will get crushed.

Well you said Southern and Eastern would beat them too but you found out that you don't know anything about Belpre or football.Keep making predictions cause you are never right.Too bad you don't have a Meigs County team to pull for in the playoffs,at least we still can support Belpre

Chill out, dude. Be happy you guys made the postseason but you would be foolish to honestly expect a close game. Now I am sure Coach Adams and his staff will have the team ready to play, but either way Belpre will still lose by ATLEAST 3 touchdowns. Fredricktown is a quality football team.

Someones a little upset. Relax man. It's an Internet message board, people have differing opinions. I wish Belpre the best of luck. As for the game though, I'm taking Fredericktown.

Thanks I really appreciate it.I don't have anything against any team in the area and I root for all of them if they are in the playoffs, but I can't understand why people continue to down Belpre just because they went through a long down period.I will speak up when these people continue to disrespect and team and coaches who have worked very hard to bring back a winning football program. They may very well lose by 3 touchdowns or get crushed but we in Belpre will still support them and defend them against all these people. We feel that we may win by 3 touchdowns or crush our opponent and we are entitled to express this on the internet message boards just like the people who disrespect us do.Thanks again for your good luck wishes.

No one has disrespected Belpre from what I've read. I am very happy they made the playoffs. They are a good team and I have no doubt win or lose they will play hard to the end against the Freddies.

My heart is rooting for a win but I don't think it will happen. I think the Freddies are 3 td's betters. I want Belpre to prove me wrong.

Thank you I hope we can prove you wrong.I too am pulling for your Buckeyes to bring back a victory against Valley. The same poster that said Belpre would get crushed is the same one who on another thread said Belpre was dirty players and that is why they would win there game against one of his teams.I think that is disrespect and that is why I commented on his post.I don't have a problem with anyone having an opinion about whether or not Belpre will win but there is a respectable way to express it as you did in your post. Thanks again and Good luck to NY.Go TVC

I know nothing of the Belpre program, but fact is at home Fredericktown allowed a 4-6(2-5) football team to hang around 36-42 last week. Instead of resting starters against a rebuilding program they were playing a full 4 qtrs. Hard to count out any team when those type of statistics pop out at you.

Agreed dses,I don't doubt that The Freddies are a good team, they are 10 and 0 and deserve to be the favorite to win this game. These kids and coaches from Belpre have worked hard to go from 0-10,1-9,0-10 to 4-6,5-5,and now 8-2.I think it is very disrespectful for people to come on this forum and tell them that they should be happy just to be in the playoffs that they don't deserve it or aren't good enough to win against anyone. These kids read this stuff and I know they are hurt by these comments. This is the last post I will put on here and all I can say is GO BELPRE,win or lose.

Fredericktown vs Belpre - Without being disrespectful, I think this is the one first round mismatch. The Golden Eagles obviously earned their way into the playoffs, but I don't think there is a "good win" on their schedule. Not saying that Fredericktown played a murderers row, but I would say that they have at least 4 wins that would be Belpre's best win. I just think the step on in competition will be way too much for Belpre. Freddies 48 Belpre 12

Centerburg vs. Ridgewood - I think this one comes down to the wire. Seems like a very good matchup. The combined 3 losses for these two squads all came against 10-0 teams. I will go with the road team here and take Ridgewood in a thriller. Generals 35 Trojans 34

Grandview Heights vs. Monroe Central - I think Grandview may be a slighty more battle tested but the Noles have pulled out some tight games. I think the home field plays a factor. Bobcats 24 Seminoles 21

Valley vs Nelsonville - The game comes down to if the Indians are healthy. Valley I think it getting back there so I think they find a way. Indians 34 Buckeyes 20

#1 Fredericktown certainly has the edge on Belpre. They are a much deeper team. Belpre has 27 players, the Freddies nearly double.

Another huge advantage for the Freddies is that Belpre is dominated by underclassman with only 1 senior on the squad. Age does make a difference in high school sports.

Many think that Belpre should just be satisfied with making the playoffs and maybe they should considering all the circumstances but I don't think they are. These Eagles considered anything less than a trip to the post season as a disappointment. Maybe it will be a 1 and done post season experience for Belpre but the game still has to be played.

For Belpre to win they must protect the ball, execute and keep the penalties to a minimum. They are certainly capable of doing all 3 things.

The Freddies are the heavily favored team in this matchup and they should be. They are the #1 team in the region and I congratulate them.

Looks like a nice night for high school football and I am looking forward to making the trip to Fredericktown to root on the Golden Eagles.

Good luck and good health to both teams.

LETS GO EAGLES!!!

Centerburg vs Ridgewood - this game will be decided by Ridgewoods Oline vs Centerburgs front 7, whichever wins this battle, wins the ball game. Both teams match athlete for athlete, skill guy for skill guy equally.

Good luck to Nelsonville-York and Belpre! Two teams that are going to rock the playoffs and stir things up! Going to be a good run for both!
