I agree. Great job. Stats about even like the game. Waverly run game may have been the difference.

So you’re dumming down their loss to d4 3-0 waverly? Makes sense.

Burgs inability to pass against a mediocre pass defense will hurt them come playoff time. Inability to stop the pass may hurt Waverly too? Something for both teams to work on

Waverly was without two starters on defense that may have made a difference on some of those....

Where was Burg number 1? Oh that’s right, on Joe Eitel which is unofficial computer points that don’t even matter this year. Burg was number 2 in the AP poll which everyone knows is a joke.

Nah, it's just 1 person who's barely posted that's stirring. I don't see any fans from either side knocking either team after that game.

A person who barely posts, go figure huh? Time to put that genie back into the moonshine bottle. Been there done that lol!

I paid to watch this one and it was well worth the $10. As soon as you though W'burg was outta it, they come back. What in the heck was Wavery's OC thinking of throwing the ball deep in the middle of the field with 2-TOs in his pocket with 1:50 left? Burg's QB made a mistake and shoved the pass right to a Waverly defender instead of taking the sack with 0-TOs. I thought burg would get to the 30 and their kicker was going to nail one as he did in the last year's Ashland game as time ran out. Then Waverly hits a pass to the 1-yd line and misses the FG. This was an instant classic for the SOCII. As another poster said, both squads will be tough come playoff time.

This game was basically the SOCII championship game unless Minford or Oak Hill can take down Waverly

Points will matter when they get an easy week 1 or 2 in playoffs, they need to go undefeated in regular season D4 teams are tough

Very good chances it was and honestly im glad.. all the respect to Burg but to me a team can only be dominant for so long until it starts to get a tad annoying. Nice change of a pace and a humbling moment for Burg they'll be stronger than ever for it

Burg's Sophmore class is loaded with talent. This is Waverly's year, so they'll enjoy the ride.

Ive noticed the Lattimore brothers #2 runs very well for his age. I have no doubt the pirates will be eager to get back on top lol Im hoping this is the start of better competition in the SOCII. Waverly & Minford showing promise this year and last, Oak Hill making some noise here and there.. only time will tell but I want some teams to consistently give The Burg a fight!!

I agree! The more competitive the league benefits well for everyone come playoff time.

Exactly! I dont want to just see 1 or 2 local teams head to the playoffs every year I wanna see 3-5

As stated earlier, burgs inability to pass killed them tonight and could hurt them in the playoffs especially against a great team like Waverly. Hats off to the Tigers, good luck the rest of the way.
