ligit ownage..........54 > 53. Only thing that matters. Roback plays for Waverly. There are not going to say, sorry or give it back. It's about making plays, baby!!!!!!!!
PS: If you played for me. I would have your butt for saying that about the punt. You need to grow up, stop crying and quit pointing fingers at other people. Coaches for sure.

Re: WK 1 Waverly @ Piketon
Gentlemen, Waverly line did an outstanding job last night. How many sacks or loss yardage plays did Waverly have? Waverly's Offense and game plan was to use Robacks feet and athletic ability to make plays. Judging from the outcome I would say they succeeded. Show some class and congratulate the victor. That is what bugged me more than loosing is watching some kids and fans and how they acted after the loss. If the the adults quit after one game what can you expect the kids to do. Last night the better team won. If they played again would it be the same outcome? who knows. I do know both had a chance to put the game away early and didn't get it done. It was the best game I have ever watched. As a fan you had to walk away and say wow. Give Roback credit he willed his team to victory in the last 2:30
John Congrats on the win Hopefully we can meet somewhere week 11, 12, 13.

BF76, I would love to see Piketon go 9-1 and meet Waverly in the playoffs.
Good Luck to the Redstreaks until we meet again!

Re: WK 1 Waverly @ Piketon
You have to know how to win with class and you have to know how to lose with class, something Waverly knows how to do.
Waverly wins as a team and they lose as a team. Roback did not win this by himself. As coach Knight said, he did not throw the ball to himself. Someone had to catch those passes that went for over 400 yards and someone had to stop Piketon on 3 straight running plays to force the infamous funt. Waverly shut the Streaks down when they had to and that is the difference between a team that knows how to win. Piketon is a great football team who will win many games. Hopefully they go 9-1.

Don't take your digs..... Many kids and fans accepted defeat with class. I'm sure had Waverly loss there would have been bad Waverly fans. Great game move on. Waverly must now deal with Jackson and Piketon now must set sights on Nelsonville.

bengalfan76,
If you knew me you'd know I don't come on here and say anything to get a "dig" in. I am talking about people getting on here making stupid remarks. I don't see any digs - none were intended.

I took you comments as a dig toward all Piketon people
I retract my statement. I too tire of watching ignorant statements

hbk, I am still tired! lol I wouldnt gloat or whine if I were involved in that contest as a coach, player or administrator for either side. Humility never hurts. Congrats to Waverly. Piketon, pick it up this week. You can still play for a playoff berth, and the SVC is still to come.
Re: WK 1 Waverly @ Piketon
Eagles,
The behind the scenes folks never get the credit they deserve, people seem to think all of that just happens by itself.
AD is a tough, thankless job and you are handling it very well. It is nice to finally have some stability in that job.
Keep up the good work.
Hopefully the Streaks can get a W this week and get back on track. I still predict a 9-1 or 8-2 year with a playoff berth.

Hey Mr. Ticket Taker, can you give us a paid attendance number?
I certainly hope you don't take any of my posts as gloating.

Re: WK 1 Waverly @ Piketon
THIS WAS THE BEST HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL GAME I HAVE EVER WATCHED. AFTER PIKETON GETS OVER THE SHOCK OF LOSING THEY WILL REALIZE HOW LUCKY THEY WERE TO WITNESS THIS CONTEST. MOST OF THE WAVERLY PEOPLE LEFT EARLY. THIS GAME WILL BE TALKED ABOUT FOR THE NEXT 30 YEARS.

ligit ownage wrote:again nice job ROBACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ur a coach i know u watched the game film last night in dis belief how piketon's front four and 3 was in the back field ever play and ROBACK didnt fall under the pressure!!! if u take robacks stats out the game u guy's wld have never even scored!!!! again great job to the waverly ROBACK see u in the playoffs
How can yo say this? Robacks stats were so high cuz others were so low. It takes a good quaterback to win but even better team members to protect and recieve. Without roback, they would have ran the ball with malone and rowland and price more, and those guys are unbelievable
Re: WK 1 Waverly @ Piketon
Piketon took away the run, both head coaches commented about this after the game - read the papers and interviews. When a defense focuses on taking the run away you turn to the pass which is what Waverly did.

As far as i can remember Piketon only stuffed Waverly once on a play that wasn't ran by Roback
and it was on 26 power it looked like
