Re: WK 7 Nelsonville-York vs. Alexander
Arnold had ANOTHER pretty AMAZING night
I don't see any way this kid is NOT the league MVP
Against Wellston, Meigs, Belpre, and now Alexander, he has made THE big play game-after-game.
Even in a game like tonight where we play pretty flat, he still goes off for 272 yds rushing 4 TDs, and a backbreaking TD catch as time expired in the 1st Half.
Also has over 1,100 yds on the season ........................ Great job "D"

Yea i pick Alex over NY, reguardless of the outcome im going to stay behind my spartans and will not eat my words. It is very possible for NY to take alex lightly and for alex to have an extremely good night and catch them off guard. sooner or later the streak is going to be broken...and why not this year???
GO SPARTANS!!!

Nice job N-Ville. It's always good to see a team take care of business and not look ahead when they are playing a game many thought they should win.

congrats to ny. spartans keep your heads up. im sure you had a select few fans from ny worried.
i think it is complete bull $h!t that you blame alexander for ny's F up. alexanders coaching staff at that. i find it very hard to believe that the administration at alexander withheld the information (which is what you ny fans told me). also had we informed you about your player not able to play you would have laughed in our faces. if there was any withheld information it was from the admin and ny to the coaching staff at ny. so as far as the "stripped title", as far as im concerned ny was lucky to get a share of it. funny how you could fault alexander for voting against you, then give meigs credit. what about the other teams???or was alexander the only school that was wong for voting what was right???
none the less alexander just couldnt hold up to the buckeyes. ill be waving at you from my house to your house come week 12, if not week 11.

ATown-
You love your team, but you don't know the whole story................... The league COULD have voted to uphold NY's league title and they chose not to. They chose to STRIP NY of a title they EARNED ON the FIELD for playing an ineligible FRESHMAN for playing in the 4th Quarter of a blow-out!!!!!
You are a former player.............. How would you have felt if you had led your Spartans to a League championship....... Blow out NY by 35pts...... But have the title taken from you because in that blow-out your Coach decided to play EVERYONE instead of running up the score even more by keeping your starters in.
Yes, NY played a kid they thought was eligible, that was their mistake...... But the kid was a freshman and only played because the game was a blow-out...... How would you like to be a SENIOR on that team and lose a title like that
Championships should always be decided ON the field, and as far as I a concerned that one was!
It sucks, and hopefully you can better understand the frustration felt by some of the Buckeyes

while i cannot say i feel the remorse of the buckeyes. i will say that if it had gone without punishment whos to say that they wouldnt continue to "accidently" play these players. whether or not the ny staff was aware of his situation seems irrelevent to me because there is no doubt in my mind they did. Reguardless of whether they played him without knowing he was ineligable or not they did. there has to be some kind of punishment. it is no different than you accidently breaking the law and getting punished, or even the saying "neglegence of the law is no exuse."
you bet your sweet a$$ im proud that i was a spartan. ill defend it until i die.

Again, it was aBLOW-OUT, NY gained NO advantage by playing this kid, the game had already been settled long ago..................
Just remember your OWN stance the next time someone blows out your team by 40 points but refuses to put in the back-ups.....................
You are creating a situation where coaches will only play their starters to ensure that everyone they put on the field is OK to play, and they don't lose a title on a TECHNICALITY
Interesting that you didn't address my quetion about how you would feel to win a title and have it taken from you in such a "cheap" manner.............. Be honest, it would suck

Re: WK 7 Nelsonville-York vs. Alexander
in all honesty it would suck to have that title taken away. i am not creating any kind of situation, providing that i know ny has plenty of kids on the team there were plenty of players who were eligable. if the coaching staff played him without knowing he was not able to play i think the ny administration is at blame.
its funny how im told to "get over it", but its the ny fans that have been talking about "payback"...i am here defending my school just like anyone else would do. the truth is there was an obvious mix up, whether it was between whomevers administration, and it is in the past and ny got their "revenge".
i do not feel as if it were a cheap manor either, you know as well as i do, if the shoe were on the other foot ny woulda voted against any other team...there is no difference, who knows some day we may have to bring that topic up.

ATown Warrior, since your staff is so by the books and they do nothing wrong, then explain to me why your head coach skipped the league meeting in favor of an nfl game.. that to me is not having your priorities in the right place.. also explain why your assistant coach claims that he was told to vote that way for mvp when those names were not released until the day of the meeting.. sounds to me like his only instructions were to vote AGAINST ny

Re: WK 7 Nelsonville-York vs. Alexander
if his only option was to vote against ny then ywhy are you even question why he did it... is it possible that the head coach wanted to get some plays from the nfl? . At no point did i say that they were by the books, so i dont have the answer to you irrelevant questions. As far as im concerned the assistant coach doesnt have to justify why he voted the way he did, and you nor anybody else has the right to question it. i dont see you asking why the other coaches voted the way they did...
