We'll end of the 1st half...
Sheridan 14
Logan 7

Tackling, tackling!! Offensively not bad. Mr little and company are moving the ball
But only moving the ball through the air constantly.

Lancaster beats Beechcroft 13-7.Gales didn't look that good IMO.They will probably have another losing season with the teams they play, they have small skill players with the always big line.Defense is pretty good against the run but as usual vulnerable against the pass.If Logan can take advantage of that and get some stops on defense, who knows ? Maybe it was the competition that made them look that way ,but I wasn't that impressed with what I saw.

That was probably the final score trench. The game I was at, it was over at halftime for the starters,if Logan is struggling at tackling again Gales will probably rack up some big numbers. They are small but fairly quick and elusive on them counters and run fast when they see daylight. That was really the only way they got most of there yards against Beechcroft,Beechcroft had a pretty ferocious defense

Lets hope Burke takes care of the tackling struggle by then. :122248

Final varsity score
21-21
Cocks had a pick 6
Little had about a 50 yd td run
And a little to smith td pass.
Def has to stop the run. The ends are not containing and
we struggled to stop the run up the middle. If we don't fix
that carpenter and company will run on us all night.
The run game was spotty. Backs need to look for the cut back
lanes behind the blocks to cut longer runs. The passing game
looks good. Good line blocking to give lane time to pass and when
the time wasn't there lane was able to make time with smart
Play. I would say 7-3 or 6-4 this season. Losses to Lancaster
loudenville and da ville. Teays valley and Jackson are the question marks.

I thought you would be back with some more the way you worded your first post. Thanks for the report 87. Chiefs have some work to do but did fairly well. Never know, things might even get better as time rolls on.

On a side note. Isaiah Smith had a whopper of a crack back block.
Completely caught some kid off Guard. A grade "A" de-clear block.

Ewwwwwww, love to have seen that. Chiefs might do real well this year. A little tuning and ya never know. Ole Burke might tune them up well as time rolls on. Again, thanks for your eyes and report tonight 87.

FYI it was more like 21-14 Sheridan as Coxs pick 6 was against the #2s of Sheridan.

It is still good news that they played Sheridan close on the road. Tied score or down one, shows they are playing well against a good program . Playing close against a Logan Elm team projected to do well means they have played good competition close. From here , its just getting better with a good foundation to build on.
