...Kentucky...I think you know I have been around football a long time...I did watch CC a couple of weeks ago...I really do look for the so called upset...I don't know for sure if Coshocton is good enough to beat them only because I haven't seen them

I've just looked quickly, at both rosters and both's schedules, that is the only thing I'm basing my thoughts about Amanda and Coschocton. Coschocton seems to be a little undersized and their schedule looked a whole lot lighter. Hey, you all would know far better cause, like I said, that is the only thing I know about them

I watched Amanda twice in person before they losttheir great running back and the second time I walked away sating them and Ironton will be playing for the reg championship.

Correction, I did catch the Redskins playoff game on replay and after seeing how they manhandled a very good West Muskingum team I think they give Amanda a great game.

With the injury to the Amanda TB I see this one being a toss up.

Well, NCF, some have said no but I don't know how Clearcreek could be the same team without that big fellar on 'em

I can not see them being the same team without him, he is a stud who can carry a team on his back and lead them to the promise land.

Well, either way, this is Ironton Vs Heath, I know the Tigers have their hands full this week with Heath, it's going to be a tough test for the Tigers. They seem to match up on paper a lot but it would seem Ironton is a wee bit larger in size on the rosters

According to Ironton Football Dot Com,
"Heath Bulldog, Charles Gresham, who missed the final two games of the regular season after suffering an injury but was expected to play on week 11, racked up more than 1,700 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns in those eight regular-season games."

Was he back last week and how healthy was he if he was back? ANyone know? that's a pretty impressive 8 games he put in!

He had five td's last week I believe I read.

I am going to watch the game tomorrow to see how he looked.

The kid can fly and early in the game he seems to be able to run up the gut as well as outside.

Nelson Scott and the QB are two big weapons for them also.

I believe after this game is played...that is when people will really know who has what...first round was a bit weak competition for all teams in our region...Go Tigers...

After looking at the roster in yesterdays paper. I feel that Ironton can throw at will on these guys. The DB's are short for Heath and not very big. Our recievers and TE's will dominate. We will just have to throw the ball up and let them run under it. If they try to run a 3-4 on us Wilks and company will have 500 yards on Saturday night. I think we are just to big and physical for them to match up with us.

Something that stood out to me while looking at Heaths roster was that they have 2 guys over 200 lbs on D and only 1 senior with the biggest being 210. Sounds like they may not have their best talent out there so they can go only 1 way. I would think Greshem would be good on defense. I think Heath will have to do a lot of stunting and guessing to have a chance to stop us. Should be an exciting game. Go Tigers.

He was back last week and seemed to be running just fine. Holding him out of the Lakewood game was probably just precautionary. He could have ran for well over 400 yards against them. He didn't take too much of a pounding against ZT either, so that is good.

Gresham was a starter on defense his sophomore and junior years as a defensive back. He has come in to play defense at certain times this year and I wouldn't be shocked to see him play some defense this saturday. We don't have huge size, but our players play pretty tough. Last game I came away very impressed with Travis Drumm, a 6'4 220 lb. junior linebacker (he plays both ways). And Dylan Wethey is a very big, strong boy, and he will play some on defense as well as being the anchor on the offensive line. Our "smaller" linebackers would be Dom Barlow and Mason Robinson, both of whom were state qualifying wrestlers are sophomores, so they know how to be physical. Also, our defensive backs may be small, but they hit hard, causing a lot of turnovers. Justyn Eckard has 7 int's this season, so you may not want to throw his way (sounds like your QB is not the best passer).

i cannot believe all this talk , about next week's possible opponent. folks we are in the second round of the playoffs, not the third. we gotta get by a fine heath team, first. i remember a very smallish irontron team , that won its first state championship in 79. with nearly no 200 pounders. heath, i totally respect you. you must be a good ball club to get to this point. i will say the fighting tigers are EXTREMELY PHYSICAL, so buckle up , and strap down. but i'm sure you are as well. i just hope our players are not looking ahead. i don't see coach lutz letting that happen.

WITH THAT SAID, HEATH BULLDOGS, WHATCHA GONNA DO , WHEN TIGERMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU ,BROTHER.

Sounds like he's going to be a real handful for the Tigers and a nightmare to deal with. I think our boys can get it done though (of course I do) but...they'll have to bring the A-Game! All the way! neither team wants to miss the big game for the hardware but only 1 of the 2 of them advances!
