weblink has not worked for the second straight week. Have to use my iphone, iheartradio app...
Tigers getting handled. Offensive line is too big for tigers. tigers best back ejected. lost a lineman. several others havent practiced all week and not playing... BUT alder is good... Very LOUD screaming fan(man) screaming so loud you can hear every word.. very obnoxious..on visitors side.Announcers stating blatant punching going on after/duriing plays....

Who cares where the officials are from unless you are looking for excuses.
Seems like Alder came to play at the Tank. Alder was the better team tonight.

You know, just because you have hard feelings against the Burchams, you shouldn't take it out against the boys by always posting something negative.

Keep your heads up guys and move on to the next game. Good job tonight, heal up and get em next week. Go Tigers!

That was interesting to say the least, the announcer even asked what the call was on the field because it was never signaled and He got ignored. Now Tres will not be able to play against Jackson. The Refs were from Portsmouth and Chillicothe and Piketon.......hmmmmcaglewis wrote:AT THE HALF - ALDER 17 - IRONTON 7

Congrats to Jonathon Alder a very solid team, WOW a 46 yard Field Goal from a Sophmore that didn't weigh 150 lbs soak and wet, what a leg.......
and that Freshmen running back #14 was quick as lightning. Good luck the rest of the year to the Pioneers.
Tigers keep your heads up and hope those injured are not serious, Lets get ready for Jackson...............

so you are saying the refs won this game?
we had a ref from Ironton do our game tonight, so whats that got to do with anything?

Congrats to Alder. Good football team. I am not going to bow down and act as though they were awesome, but they were clearly better than us, especially up front. The QB is a very good passer, but is probably not in the top 10 passers that I have seen us face in the past, ie Davis from Belaire for example. The backs were solid, but again nothing special, no where near as talented as many backs we have seen before, ie Carlos Snow. The backs were decent, but none would be in the top 20 that I have seen us face before. The O-line was good. They won the game for Alder. They absolutely man handled us up front. The defense for Alder was very solid too with very good speed overall. The D-line could move and the line-backing core was very active. The Alder coach had his boys well prepared and made some nice adjustments, and he kept some wrinkles that he didn't show until the second half.
For us Ironton fans, we now know where we stand. Ashland was grossly over-rated, Galipolis was not very good, and Burg is the best team we have beat. Tonight we faced a Playoff caliber opponent, D4 at that, and we were throttled. Now we have to lick our wounds and get better, especially the tackling. Let's go take care of business against Jackson and then measure ourselves again when we see Bishop Hartley. We are going to make the playoffs, so we still have plenty of season left to improve on our weaknesses.
As for the refs, they had nearly ZERO bearing on the outcome. I did witness the worst spot that I have seen in my entire life, but the officials had NOTHING to do with out butt-whooping.
