I think Jackson is a good halfway point for a neutral field on a Saturday night.
Probably Logan again.

who knows with the ohsaa anything logical is totally not allowed.
they simply do not like Southeast Ohio teams and are at time rough on Southwest Ohio teams.
I know it is up to schools to put in to host and the state chooses from there but past history they don't always do the right thing.

I like the way you think, but there is a conference title on the line, so that isn't going to happen!
Good luck with that. Burg wants that gold ball back which had eluded them since 2010. They are not gonna do anything that void prent them from winning friday night. If they lose not only will they not get the title but will be almost guaranteed a road game

If Jackson is still going in wk 12, they (D3) will be playing the same night as D5, I think. Jackson would not want to be hosting in that case. Chilli might be available.

I thought D3 was Friday this year and D5 was Saturday?

Chilly is a great neutral point between southern Ohio teams and Columbus teams.
Easy access by roadways and nice stadium.

There are two Columbus teams and they both just want to play on turf and don't care where. Their plan for the region is speed, speed, and more speed. The more disciplined one will easily take out the less disciplined one week 11. If Drew Pasteur's projections hold up (and I think they will), I see Ironton as the only southern Ohio team playing week 12 and 13. Harbins give them a disproportionately advantageous seeding. They'll get the longer bus ride. Ohsaa seems to use a ruler and an as the bird flies rule against the river folk.

They powers to be want all playoff games to be on Turf in playoffs.
Only takes 1 mistake to beat a team that makes none.
That is why there are upsets and the game are played.
Wheelersburg is more favored than Ironton as I see but Both could be a Dark Horse

Only 3 posts in to your SEOPS career and you already sound like a fool. So Burg shouldn't be a 2 seed? Ironton should? Let the chips fall where they may. There are always 5 games to win in the playoffs.

Sapietia is no fool. He is suggesting Liberty Union is a team that can advance to week 12 as a lower seed. If there is an upset this year, LU could be the one. St. Clairsville had the misfortune of that last year. LU was tough nut for Hartley if you only consider the final score.

Have they upgraded their facilities? The last time I was there you had to use Porta Potties on the visitors side.

We were a hot mess last year. LU took it to us.

I have seen a few posts about games potentially can/should/would be at Jackson. I was told that Jackson is not hosting any playoff games this year (unless it is their own week 11 game).

Assuming the top 6 teams all win this week, depending on how the "other" games go, Ironton could end-up the #3 seed. And LU is a threat to most of the region without doubt.

Region 17 is looking much stronger in 2014 than it was in 2013. Last year you had Westfall and Zane Trace making it in at 5-5. This year there could be some teams at 7-3 or 8-2 not make it in.

Eitel has Burg @ 2, Ironton 3 and West @ 9. No Eastmoor update tho. He may be crunching numbers still.

I would like to see West play Hartley. Would be good justification on a great year even if we get beat. Good experience for the young kids. You have to crawl before you can walk.

I hope you all do too. 3 teams from southern Ohio would be great.

Burg/Ironton week 12 anyone?
