The Pirates should make quite a jump in Divison 5, Region 19.
7 teams ahead of the Burg lost.

Others beside the Falcons, include #4 Woodsfield Monroe Central, #8 Crooksville, #9 Barnesville, #10 Cardington Lincoln, #12 Beverly Fort Frye, #14 Chillicothe Southeastern.

Congrats Pirates!

The same could be said about Minford if they lose to both and it very possibly happen.

Even if they lose one of those games, I think they make it in. Will be on the road in week 11, but still in.

Win both of those and they will host in week 11.

Really liked Schank at LB last night. He was all over the field making play after play. His INT after the Burg scored there first TD was a real back breaker

Very true neither team can afford two more loses but W'burg one more they're done.

Minford Playoff Berth Probabilities= 99% (6W-16.5H-67% 7W-17.8H-88% 8W-21.2H-99% 9W-24.8H-100%)

Wheelersburg Playoff Berth Probabilities= 26% (6W-12.2H-1% 7W-16.2H-55% 8W-20.2H-99%)

Portsmouth, Fairland and Rock Hill will be lucky to win two more games, at least Burg will get one win with Fairland and Rock Hill playing each other, whereas with Minford both Piketon and Oak Hill will not lose another game.

How Valley comes into the mix will be interesting for both teams. Valley has to play both W'burg and West before they get to Minford, so that's an advantage for the Falcons, unless Valley wins them both.

he doesnt normally play there? sure could not tell. looked like a natural and caused havoc all night for my Falcons. almost 2 days have passed and i am still surprised. not so much that burg won because I thought the game could go either way but i did not expect a blow out either way. i think most true sports fans were surprised to. it was just one of those nights for minford where nothing worked. especially after slone's 60+ yard punt was called back due to a stupid penalty that should NEVER occur (12 players on the field seriously) and then a pick on the first play of the next series. once minford got down by 2 scores it was clear they were not going to make a comeback. you could tell by how the players were playing. this game is over and lets hope next week does not have the same result.

The Difference in this Game was the Strength and Experience of the Burg O and D line, I believe you'll see the same thing in the Valley/Burg Game also. No Disrespect But The Falcons have 1 more week of the same thing coming. Then I think They'll match up pretty Good with Valley. Hope thats enough to get them in the Playoffs. Good Luck!!!

Portsmouth, Fairland and Rock Hill will be lucky to win two more games
Fairland will win three more games with a shot to beat Coal Grove for the OVC title.

Open my mouth, insert foot and chew thoroughly. Picked against the Pirates in this game and I WAS 100% WRONG. Burg dominated from start to finish in every facet of the game. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.

Congrat's to The Burg!!! The Burg was the Best team on the field tonight!!! Great job by the Coaches, the simple O-fense worked out perfect. (It looked like Ed Miller was calling the plays.) It totally surprised this Falcon team, and they didn't have any idea how to stop it.
Call it what you want, The Burg's Coaches won this game, Great Job.

However, it was Coach Woodward calling the plays from the pressbox! Congratulations to Coach Rob Woodward and HIS coaching staff for pitching a gem against a very good Minford team. Best wishes to the 'Burg for the rest of the season. Nice that Coach Woodward is making a nice recovery from his recent setback too! (from your Green Elementary basketball coach)

you need to talk to Bleeding Red/Bad Boy.

Now this is great stuff KVDW....YOU can make accusations of one person being TWO usernames on this board............

But the irony is this: A user makes a reference to YOU being someone else and they ARE NOW BANNED? HHHMMMMM.....Something smells FISHY

I wonder how YOU get away with it for weeks of doing the same thing, but another user is IMMEDIATELY banned from the site for the same thing? Sounds like you have some special resources on this site! ;-)

The "Freddies" are for real but they are done this week also. No one in this region can compete with the MAC in DV or DVI in any given year unless they would get lucky and that's only happened a couple times in the history of the playoffs. With that being said, I believe the SOC is by far the best "overall" small school conference in southern ohio hands down. Oak Hill, Burg, Minford, Valley and West always seem to field excellent teams that can usually win a playoff game or two and that's if they don't knock each other out of the playoffs. Kudos to the conference as a whole :aaaaa41
