Both defenses were outstanding. Those turnovers just killed Logan. Louisville's play-calling was kind of weird, and they dropped a couple of passes that could've broken the game open for them. But I thought the Chieftains held up well against a team that most outside of Hocking County believed to be a decisive favorite. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with them offensively.

Im really anxious for someone to come on (cough cough Locos lol) and give the stats. How many 1st downs did Louisville have the 2nd half? Correct me if im wrong, but i believe they had one and it was due to the really bad encroachment penalty?

Congrats to the Chiefs on a fantastic season. For doubters of Logan, going toe to toe with Louisville should help erase some of it. Logan, in my opinion, is the best team in all of SE Ohio.

I don't have much for you, but Logan did hold Louisville to only ONE first down in the second half and that was was when we jumped offsides on a punt on 4th and 5.

Angle threw close to 40 passes and completed around 20 I think. TOs were killers, but Louisville's Defense was outstanding, ESPECIALLY in the first half.

After the first Logan adjusted on both sides of the ball, especially the O-line and gave the O a chance to move the football.

Two of Pats INTs were on long passes and were as good as punts. 1 was a tipped ball. The one in the endzone was a ball he had to throw (or take a bad sack) and he had a man to get the ball to, but the defender made a GREAT play on the ball.

Louisville was the best tackling defense I have ever seen. Hats off to them.

All you heard about for both these teams were the offense. But the defenses decided this one.

Congrats to Louisville, the Leps did what you have to do at this point: SURVIVE AND ADVANCE. Who cares about style points? Make plays or go home, and Louisville made plays.

Logan's defense played an outstanding football game. Did the weather help things? Certainly not, but both teams played in the same conditions and both had to overcome the elements.

In the first half Louisville's defensive speed overwhelmed Logan. Our kids did a great job of adjusting and gave our offense a chance in the second half, but Lville's DEFENSE got the job done.

4 interceptions thrown by Angle, but I still think he might have played his best game of the year. 1 was a tipped ball and 2 were DEEP throws that amounted to punts. The one that hurt was the one on the goal line, but as they did all night the LEP defense got pressure, forced a throw, the receiver was open for an instant but Swigert MADE A PLAY. That's the difference folks. On the Lville TD the Logan defender JUST MISSED tipping the pass and when Logan had the ball on the 10 yard line the Lep defender got the pick.

Logan played an outstanding second half, but just couldn't put the ball in the endzone.

It's been a fun week with the Louisville folks, and the fans I talked to after the game were class acts.

Good Luck next week against DeSales. Rumor I heard is that you will be back at Zanesville next week.

Take care of business and finish 15-0!

As good as punts or not ^^^^, an arc that big lets anyone faster than 5.0 run across half the field to defend it. Like punts or not, int's are bad.
Really though, Logan could have won w/o the 7 turnovers. The pic. that was thrown in the endzone would have already been a TD with the field position we lost on the fumbles and following punts. The other time we made it to around the 30 would have been the same way after the INT return.
On the largest note, GREAT job fellas. That was an awesome team you hung with, and should have beat. Nice coverage and tackling most of the night. One 73 yard pass made the difference. Nice all around effort. I'm proud to be a Chieftain fan. And all of the other teams who were done at halftime against Louisville probably have Cheiftain Envy! A few of those teams are still in the playoffs.
Again, Good job!!!!

Congrats to Logan on an outstanding football season. The Chiefs should hold their heads high because the effort I saw from them tonight was simply amazing. Logan's defense held one of the most explosive offenses in the state to 7 points. Those guys just played lights out, especially in the second half when Louisville could not move the ball at all. Logan just couldn't overcome the turnovers but they gave every ounce of effort that they had and they should be extremely proud of what they accomplished, not only tonight, but throughout the entire season.

Louisville really struggled offensively tonight, but the Logan defense had a lot to do with that. The Leopards will have to be better next week on the offensive side of the ball if they hope to beat DeSales, as they did last season. Defensively, Louisville was unreal. Their overall speed on defense, as well as their ability to tackle so well, is something I have never seen before at the high school level. Logan adjusted well in the second half to what they were doing, but the Louisville defense might be the best that I've ever seen in person. If the Leps can get past DeSales next week, I think you'll see them raising the trophy in Massillon in three weeks.

The only thing for Logan to do now is to get a better weight lifting program going. That is the only thing left that we need and we are serious title contenders. Every single year every school we play on the schedule is as strong as we are up front. Thats where we lose football games. Something SERIOUSLY needs to be done about that. If Pat had time to throw tonight then this game was ours BUT, he didnt. The title will be in Logan next year if our line greatly improves.

so much for that high powered louisville offense.
Being you went there what happen to that high octane Logan offense? I am guessing they went up against a great defense?
